Ramirez said:It's an auto aim issue, not sniper issue.
so, does that mean "swipe sniping" is gone now?

Ramirez said:I still have no clue what snipe swiping is,so I dunno.
The pistol is extremely weak now,it's very hard to get a kill with the SMG/Pistol combo now.

JayFro said:To be effective with the pistol now it's all about head shots.
DopeyFish said:Fortunately for me, my reticle never leaves the head of an opponent. So people are basically screwed playing against me if I have that combo and start circle strafing. It's so fun seeing the body flip backwards and land on his head![]()

rahxephon03x said:Has anyone notice that the ranking has been reset?
TeTr1C said:Hm...I haven't noticed it. I still had all my old ones.
duderon said:Snipe auto-aim hasn't changed (from what i've read), so there is still swipe sniping and all that good stuff.
And Dopey, you should probably be good at dualing before you start talkin smack![]()

Ramirez said:...someone was talking about grenades went more flat now when you throw them, but again I didn't notice.
What are you talking about, one game i had 17 kills and 10 deaths.DopeyFish said:Dude. Not my fault my team couldn't carry weight.
I had very reasonable k:d in those games compared to everyone.
and it's funny you should say that... the only time i died dual wielding against you was with two needlers! I felt sorry for you so I went in with a forgiving combo.
Pudding Tame said:Good enough for me![]()
Now if I could only find some decent people to play with.
Pudding Tame said:Same as my GAF user-name. Problem is I'm in Japan so finding time when anybody else is on is difficult.
Feel free to send me a freind invite if you want to though.

Hero said:It's been more than a day and no one has reported results with linking the updated Halo 2 against an Xbox/Halo 2 that hasn't been updated.
I would really like to know if the other Xbox gets updated automatically or you revert back to pre-update, or not being able to play at all.
It's disturbing how no one has said anything about it yet.
op_ivy said:it has been said, more then once (though admittedly, maybe not in this thread).
the morning it was released, i hoped on, grabbed the update, then played with dopeyfish, who didnt get the update (it wasnt available for him at that time). we played a round a bit, not sure if changes had taken place (it was my first updated match), then quickly realized; 1.) that he didnt have it and 2.) that we both were playing the un-updated version (1.0).
so, yes, you can play together, but you'll both be playing v1.0
rahxephon03x said:Do you mind if I add you too?
GhaleonEB said:Looks like the BR just got one hell of an update.
Last night there were people complaining that the BR was too powerful now - but really, it's just waaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy more accurate. It's now a useful weapon for hammer snipers with - which is a GOOD thing.
op_ivy said:i'm pretty sure bungie said that there was a difference between a hosts BR and other players BRs in v1.0, and that all they did was make it so everyones BR preforms as it should now.
GhaleonEB said:The was not done online, but with just one guy on the map testing stuff on his own.
The other weapon that Bungie didnt specifically mention changing but seems to have benefited from the patch is the battle rifle. It seems that the spray of the three-shot burst has been reduced, making it more effective from further distances. Of course, when shooting a horizontally moving target, your three shots will still cause a spread due to the time of their release, but it now seems much more possible to get a four or five shot kill from mid-long range. Since the BR is the main dish in most MLG gametypes, the extra long range will help you to land kills and assist your teammates from farther away and keep snipers out of their scope more effectively, but will also mean that you are vulnerable from greater distances than you may realize (until you get used to it). This is really a great tweak, and it at least offers something to those who are still crying abut their Halo: CE pistol.
op_ivy said:i'll find the quote.
and it says MLG FFA in the bottom corner... are we sure it wasnt online?
