No, he probably got fired.

The gamertag of the guy who leaked it suddenly got deleted a few hours after this came out. I suspect so did his employment with Microsoft.Norml said:I would like to hear who got caught and what the penalty was. Maybe clever PR?

I don't see why anyone else in that game would have gotten banned. More than likely, those other people had no idea he was recording the game.got2bekidding said:Seems as if only xFalzY is the only one that got in trouble. I say this because his gamertag was the only one deleted. As far as the definition of "in trouble", I'm not sure. I would guess if he worked for Microsoft, he got fired. I would also guess he is banned by Bungie from playing any version of Halo online.

op_ivy said:may 11th? shit, i already requested off the 16th and 17th, its too late for that day too![]()
Gigglepoo said:Are you media? The event is only for media members.
op_ivy said:i'm guessing we'll be hearing something from this event
Gigglepoo said:Maybe, maybe not. But there is no reason to ask off of work for it.
op_ivy said:damn it. and here i was looking forward to something. thanks for setting me straight!
Gigglepoo said:Oh, I don't know what's going to happen. I just found the "invite" in my mailbox this morning. There will be Halo 3 at this event, but that does not mean new information will come out that day. I honestly doubt NDAs will be signed (I have a feeling all information revealed there will be documented in Bungie's pre-Beta FAQ), but I couldn't tell you one way or the other now.
I wouldn't be surprised if Bungie lets journalists get their hands on Halo 3 just to start massive hype leading into the beta. Why not? I'm just going for the free food (there will be free food, right?).
op_ivy said:sounds like a reason to be excited to me. its all i'll think about at work

That event was for Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow. It was the first of its kind and yeah it kicked ass. Spies vs Mercenaries. West Coast against East coast. I am not sure if Halo 2 had a similar event but the one that comes to mind is the one done by Ubi for that game.DopeyFish said:well i thought that too, but it's probably a match between press in NY and press in San Fran... didn't they do the same thing with Halo 2 or something. I could have sworn someone did something like that once.

Not only do the splashes look leaps and bounds better than Waverace, but the appear to be physics driven. Look at the Master Chief's arm, the water is rising from the tires, hitting the armor, and being scattered properly, the direction and composition of the water changing as it contact another object.
Now, they could be simulating the physics, but either way, it looks really nice and shows that even in the Beta state, Bungie has worked some nice effects into this engine. The final game is going to be a treat.
