Halo 4 Beta included on Halo Anniversary (Not 100% confirmed)

But wasn't Halo 4 already confirmed for Fall/Holiday 2012 and for Xbox 360? Why some are now thinking is for the "new Xbox"?. I remember the trailer even having the 360-logo at the end.
The decision to port Perfect Dark Zero to Xbox 360 wasn't made untill it was 12 months out from release.

PDZ would have been more believable on the first Xbox. Looking at it as a "next Gen" game hurts my feelings these days.

But I still love PDZ because it my first Online multiplayer experience ever.

Halo 4 for the next console is more wishful thinking than logical deduction. MS' next console isn't coming out in Fall of 2012, and they wouldn't launch a Halo game (now that it's an established franchise) on a console that will be supply limited for the fanbase for up to 6 months. As you said, the trailer even had the 360 logo at the end.

If people honestly believe that they would include a beta key for a next gen title in a current gen one, there's probably no convincing them otherwise.

Edit: Who is allan-bh and why did his post spark such a reaction?

Certainly, it looked great on Xbox too.

Still, ask any Rare guy who was on the team and they'll tell you the GameCube version looked best in fact even Miyamoto told the press he was mighty impressed. I wonder if we'll ever get to see that version.

Also, since this is confirmed to be the first in a new trilogy, it makes sense to launch the first one on the current platform. If it's good and successful, the second in the trilogy being a launch title for the next system will help pull over players who want to follow the series. It would be a good hook.

So what exactly does that source say? It looks to be a blog by user Twins in the Microsoft Studios group on Gamekyo. Is it saying 343 confirmed it during a questionnaire at Comic-Con?

Does this honestly surprise anyone? Hell they pretty much confirmed without confirming it by the way they've replied to the questions about it.

I tried to ask one of my buddies who worked for Planet Gamecube (before they became NWR) about that version. It was the same response, that it look amazing, but apparently that version is 100% locked up in NDAs. He wouldn't tell me exactly what they showed them. Just that it was amazing what they had running on GameCube.

Maybe somewhere far in the future, they'll show/talk about it like they eventually did for Swop N Stop.

So does C.E. come with the complete Reach MP or just the seven remake maps?
Just the remakes, with access to forge, theater, custom games, and the classic-only matchmaking playlists.

I'm confused. I don't see anything in the screenshot that would imply any kind of a beta. Why would anyone come to the conclusion that there will be a beta from that screenshot.

Surprised to be honest.

Didn't think Halo Anniversary would need the sales boost. I was going to buy it anyway, as I'm sure most would have.

Attach the Beta to something that actually needs the boost.

edit: yep, thought it was strange.

The Extras menu could be anything...like the Kinect whateverit'sgonnabe mode or (wishful thinking here) the original H1 multiplayer playable in HD in System Link or split-screen.

So in conclusion, the blogger saw an "Extras" option in the main menu...and automatically assumed it was the Halo 4 beta? SMH.

We knew of the extras menu for ages, some random blogger find it and freaks out?

Alot of us assumed halo4beta in that menu similar to ODST. id still be on it to be frank even if the frankie has spoken against it.

However i dont see how this constitutes a need for a new topic.
