Halo 4 Retailer Pre-Order Exclusive BS

I really hate the retailer exclusives, no matter what game it is.

That being said, in every game that I've ever played with "bonus skins," they quickly become irrelevant after the first 15-30 minutes when I've unlocked something better.

Very true. Pre-order bonuses are almost always forgotten a few weeks after a games comes out and people move on to 'earned' unlocks. Perfect example - who even noticed that Recon preorder variant from Reach a week after the game was out?
 
I usually hate this retailer preorder bs, specially since i live in brazil and can't really preorder anything, but in this particular case those skins are so bad that i really don't mind :P
 
Making the Pre-order skins the same colors as the official store logos?

Those are pretty lame, need to do something way better to get me to pre order.

Make the battlerifle exclusive to 7-11 forever.

I've never seen a preorder bonus that would prompt me to buy a game at GameStop instead of Amazon.
 
I absolutely love these sort of retailer exclusive dlc items as long as they arent things that affect gameplay in a big way.

Why? I can preorder my game at the place that Im guessing most wont and then eBay the code. This lets me make nearly half my money back on the game.

When I won inFamous 2 in the subway contest the other year I got 40 dollars from selling the various dlc items on eBay. Made 50 bucks off the 3 different DLC things I got from Bestbuy when I got L.A. Noire.

This stuff makes gaming a heck of a lot more affordable for me!
 
Phew, glad they're just crappy skins. I thought it'd be something to make me miss out on some relevant content from the title.
 
I remember when i got access to all the emblems and armor in Halo 3 by buying my copy once from one retailer.

The one positive thing to note is that at least the pre-order skins all look pretty crappy. It sucks but I won't lose sleep over it.

It just makes me worried about the other armor designs and stuff. 343 has shown some really dubious tastefulness in armor design so far. I love some of it, and hate some of it.
 
Man, I dunno. While I love the idea of armor and weapon skins for Halo, I think its a kick in the nuts to spread some of them over different retailers.

Please tell me there will be a way to get all of the retailer armor/skins.. its really unfair for fans to throw always of these different armor/skins around and making some of them unobtainable due to where they shop.

I like 'web' but I want the game at midnight, so Im screwed one way or another. I wish when it game to in-game content with pre-orders that every retailer would have the same content.. I hope there is a reasonable way to get all of these.
 
Wait, I'm confused. Is the armor a preorder bonus or just the armor pattern? I think some of the armors looks pretty cool, aside from the ugly patterns applied to them. If the armors are in the game regardless if you preorder then it's no big deal to me.

It looks to me like each armor will have a unique set of skins, so this is one out of that set for that armor. They wouldn't leave entire armor sets as preorder bonuses... right?

You're not hyped for the game cause of... Retailer exclusive armor skins? I effing hate the skins, but I doubt they will somehow magically ruin the rest of the game.
