Halo 5 Multiplayer Coverage! (no campaign spoilers)

Oh man, Prodigy's stream has him opening req packs... that sound...

I can't decide whether I love it or hate it. Reminds me of Vegas.

I posted in the other thread, but can you give a schedule of when you're doing MP and when you are doing CO-op? And just confirm you want accidentally drop any spoilers, lol.

No spoilers assuredly, and it'll be a heads up before we dive into ANY campaign at all. Will definitely focus on Multiplayer for at least the first part of the stream.

Lol thanks. I'm out of work in 2 hours and was going to listen to the beautiful weapon sounds in my car on the way home. I'll check back here first to see if you made the switch

Still killing me seeing people run around with their shields popped, even when theres nobody to engage or "run" from. Cant wait to one shot everybody wanting to spam that sprint button haha

Does anyone know if there is a separate ranking for playing with different freinds?

For example in starcraft 2 I would have a different ranking for my solo play, for when I played with freind 1,and for when I played with freind 2 etc..

These maps look way too sterile and militaristic - I've been saying this for a year now lol.

There's just not enough alien maps at all. Human themed maps have always been the most boring in the franchise (Rats Nest is GOAT though) and that was before 343 overhauled human aesthetics to look more bland. The decision to make them the majority of maps is very puzzling.

The "human industrial complex" vibe saturated Halo 4 and it looks like all the great feedback 343 received on that was taken to heart.

Huge multi-level maps with no sightlines, the game calling out power weapon spawns, ADS in a Halo game....

I know the hype train is full speed here, but I just do not understand how this is what Halo has become.

I prefer technology interlaced with nature. Examples being:

- Beaver Creek
- Lockout
- Blood Gultch

Alien maps are cool too.

Things of that sort. Don't mind a military base here and there, but these arena maps are just all metallic squares.

Was this designed by pro gamers or something?

Yeah, campaign will be great, but the map design is a snore-fest. One thing I loved about Bungie is that they didn't care about pro gaming and just designed cool maps. Here it seems like everything was designed to be fair and balanced. Meaning boring with no interesting art assets.

Did you play the beta? Most people found those changes to be just fine.

calling out power weapons is about as harmless of a change possible.

on the map topic though, Plaza looks way too segmented. Hard to make sense of the lines of sight with so many windows and walls to shoot from.

? Idk what alien maps even means. Midship seems like the only"alien like" one I can think of. And that shit level from halo 3 where you can slide through the gaping asshole.

edit. and even that's not alien. It's the gravemind's butthole.

I was kinda thinking that too. The maps all look great, but there does seem to be a big chunk of sleek, plain human maps. Hopefully DLC brings a bunch of variety.
