I felt it looked like someone's highschool project. Anyone could have done that.Forza Horizon 3 is still unmatched IMO. Looks photorealistic (because it mostly is actually real) and behaves just as well.
Jk

Cool something a 20 year old game on PS2 had. GTA 3.
Just ignore and report, when they get enough reports mods take action.
Wasn’t everybody else but skill up super positive on the campaign? And skill up was still fairly positive. I dunno considering the multiplayer I think the campaign is gonna be radQuite ironic that someone who promotes mass report spamming gets banned themselves.
Anyway on topic, it looks nice enough without being hugely impressive. I've played a decent amount of the multiplayer over the last week and I'd say that the graphics are good enough to get the job done without being outstanding in any way. But it's not the graphics that keep drawing me back in, the gameplay is stellar.
Skill up's take on the campaign was quite mixed based on his preview so I'll need to see more things going on to be interested there. I'll probably end up buying it at some point to show my support because of the multiplayer side but it's unlikely to be day one based on what I've seen so far.
Only negative previews are important. Those are the ones I listen to, everything else I dismiss.Wasn’t everybody else but skill up super positive on the campaign? And skill up was still fairly positive. I dunno considering the multiplayer I think the campaign is gonna be rad
Idk where to find the quote but I distinctly remember a mention of how enemy camps change through the day.Does anyone know if day night cycle has implications on gameplay?
Gotta respect the hustle.Cool something a 20 year old game on PS2 had. GTA 3.
He's been alot more cautious in his previews where he doesn't have access to the full game since his cyberpunk one.Skill up's take on the campaign was quite mixed based on his preview so I'll need to see more things going on to be interested there. Breathtaking? I guess it's his video so he has to try to hype it any way he can lol people are so overly dramatic these days. It looks fine, not amazing and not bad either but I mean look at RDR2 in comparison, I think it looks significantly better and it has weather as well not just day/night. Also I did kind of laugh a little watching the Halo infinite timelapse and seeing those two little character models keep going back and forth in the same spot all day and night. It happens in all games that's not a knock on Halo Infinite but after some of the claims being made by someone here about how advanced the AI etc it just cracked me up a little.

Yeah but that means it should look better not worse lol. It looks fine I'm not trashing it but saying "breathtaking" is ridiculous. RDR2 has all kinds of world simulation going on than Halo does not, a lot more things going on under the hood and it still manages to look better. It also has a first person view and a 3rd person which means it needs to show the detail of the player model too which Halo does not unless you are in a vehicle.Halo Infinite has very good combat AI, its a FPS remember not an RPG with a simulated game world.
I dunno it looks awesome to me albeit stylized, like botw. I guess I look for different things from FPS games vs others. The ship in the sky restocking and leaving is sickYeah but that means it should look better not worse lol. It looks fine I'm not trashing it but saying "breathtaking" is ridiculous. So just to clarify, Halo doesn’t need to show a detailed player model unless it does?It also has a first person view and a 3rd person which means it needs to show the detail of the player model too which Halo does not unless you are in a vehicle.

it looks so static and lifeless.

One of them lost the keys to the banshee. What the hell are those enemies doing down in the valley
One of them lost the keys to the banshee.
I guess you missed the two enemies in the valley there walking back and forth for hours upon hours eh.
There will be drops this Black Friday but I’m assuming you are not in the USA?Looks great. I was going to purchase a series S to play this on, but there is no way I can do that after seeing this. I'd have major FOMO knowing I could be getting a better visual experience. I'm waiting for the series X. Don't care how long it takes
Those planets also may orbit stars(Sun) so they may get the same light than a planet, so if the spin is similar to earth, then the cycle would also be similarActyally I think that the rings are between the planet and the star at a particular balance point (forgot the name, something like a Lagrange point, where gravity from star and planet balance out)Nice!
Does this halo installation orbit a sun? IIRC the other ones we've seen orbit planets, which would make their day/night cycle rather strange.
At least refer to Shenmue's day/night cycle, instead of the later game, and troll a bit betterCool something a 20 year old game on PS2 had. GTA 3.
Nice!

It would have to, to get sunlight.
Maybe other halos had artificial light?
Its artificial for Zeta Halo only. Those planets also may orbit stars(Sun) so they may get the same light than a planet, so if the spin is similar to earth, then the cycle would also be similarActyally I think that the rings are between the planet and the star at a particular balance point (forgot the name, something like a Lagrange point, where gravity from star and planet balance out)
The sunlight in Alpha Halo(Halo CE) directly came from the sun in Soell system as it orbited the gas giant Threshold. Halo CE had real nights. The older halo installations had artificial sunlight that lights and dims from the Halo's atmosphere to create an artificial illusion of day and night. Installation 07 or Zeta Halo is the only surviving installation from the original array, its diameter was reduced to 10,000 km like the newer arrays from 30,000 km after most of its superstructure was discarded due to heavy damage. The "sunlight" is artificial and the wildlife and forest was artificially seeded.
No I came in here and watched a video that was called "breath taking" by the narrator which it is not, it's nice looking but very average. Can't peoples also find Halo infinite's time-lapse amazing AND also probably everyone on fucking planet earth acknowledge that RDR2 has amazing visuals?
You came in here all :
He had to narrate because 343i gave these previews with the condition that they don't upload any clips from the game without narrating something on top of it.No I came in here and watched a video that was called "breath taking" by the narrator which it is not, it's nice looking but very average.
The direction of the wind seems wrong. If you look at the Halo it is moving in one direction but a the record place it seems to be moving perpendicular to that direction which is a bit distracting.
Wow so smart but the topic is about a timelapse.even if this were correct, you think you play the game in Timelapse?
Well..is a terraforned station in spaceit looks so static and lifeless.

Judging by the other replies in this thread, including the one right above yours, no, you are not the only one.Am I the only one around here that doesn't think this looks very impressive? It looks pretty basic to me.
