The game isn't out yet... Who are you supposed to play with? There's a very small pool of people to even get matched with and they have to be searching at the same time. (Unless 343 added drop in multiplayer for all the Halo games in the collection)

A friend installed the game without the patch and he can't start it. I thought you can play the campaigns without the patch. Did he do something wrong? He said his Xbox One wasn't connected with the internet, but the game knows that it needs an update.

does he get an error code ? he probably has to update his console first.

They might be harder to perform in Halo 2 Class MP, 343i said that the original was based on a per pixel basis (as far as I am remembering). So boosting the pixel count may make them harder or outright impossible to reproduce.

I think if you go to manage game, that will prompt it. Otherwise just leave it in instant on mode until it is done

So you have the update if the file is 59.1 GB? That's the size of my file. It just says Pre-order and then when I go to manage it, it says it's 59.1.

Since it is mostly a MP patch, I will just download it while I play SP.

Yeah, if you are waiting on a disc, start the installation when in offline mode, then it will treat the patch as a separate thing rather than doing it first.

I think if you go to manage game, that will prompt it. Otherwise just leave it in instant on mode until it is done

nothing is happening, this is why i like ps4's ability to show me every time anything updates and patch notes

It says 59.1 gigs on The Master Chief Collection, but my total HDD space used is 102 gigabytes. 45.9, 8.5, and .5 gigs for my other games should equal to 114.

Hell yeah. I can't wait to play this with people on GAF. We are going to have so much fun destroying Flood again and playing online. It didn't for me at first. Every time I turned it back on the download would reset to 0%. apparently the xbox has to turn itself off after being idle for the download to continue. That seems to do the trick.

Although my download finished, it's at 58 gb instead of 59.1 so I'm not sure what to make of that.

You can turn it off. If you're worried just turn it back on in 20 minutes and see if its progressed. I download it while it was 'off'

Matchmaking is live now - has been for days. I've never managed to get into a game via matchmaking though.

The playlists don't list player counts, so it's a bit frustrating. If I could see that there were only 12 people playing Team Slayer, I wouldn't even bother. But in the absence of numbers, I find myself firing up MM and just sitting to a few minutes multiple times a day, in the hopes of getting a game

First I couldnt get the update...Then turn off xo on energy saving mode..

Later, i turned it on and played some games..Then, turned it off on instant-on mode...Checked 5 hours later to play game, it was installing the update..

Now everything is fine..59.1GB

No selection. Ping seems ridiculously good based on my experience. P.S. I live in socal.

Had a torrid time downloading this. All to do with my internet being to slow.

Started downloading on Thursday night, went to work, came home and it was sitting on 21%. Next morning it was on 41%. Went to work, came home and it was back to 20%. No biggie. I assume that was the patch kicking in? Paused the installation to watch youtube etc. Went to resume it and it was back to 13%. yikes!

Had to delete and start again after the Xbox lost connection and it's now on 72%. I hope it works come Tuesday. I don't fancy having to go through all that again.
