Anyone remember that god-awful game Pariah? I gave up on the campaign after I couldn't figure out what was happening, but it had an interesting map editor for its time. Pretty impressive terrain generation, although you were limited to pre-built structures and doodads.

It would be cool if each Warzone map had different AI enemies, Escape from A.R.C. seems to be mostly Prometheans, though they do have Covie bosses. Imagine a Promethean map, a Covie map and then a Flood map. Lots of potential.

Assassination animations eh? Sounds neat.

Also i think the undersuit will be customizable as well

Honestly, I'm fine with microtransactions for armor if it keeps the maps free.

I never had a problem. I've got all but legendary/par score remaining. Not sure about others

I'm guessing its because AI are rendered server side so they don't want people to go crazy with it. Think about into correctly balancing a warzone match. They are carefully crafted.

Timing of when bosses spawn
# of enemies spawn
# of bosses spawn
Balancing vehicle movement around the map
# of points for boss/enemy kill

Forging that is not only difficult but easy to unbalance. If it was round based or wave based it might have been possible (Like fable legends villain mode).

Card system to me then is identical to PvZ Garden Warfare. I liked it then and its looking good now. GW got updates months after release. Free new modes and new maps for both PvE and PvP. Loved all the different skins/weapons.

Everyone whose tried it really likes warzone. I'm glad its there for those who don't want or need a break from the ultra-competitive arena mode.

WAT? Yes, I am so about that! Wish we could have victory animations as a customizable too, but this is bitchin as it is.

Warzone seems like a whole 'nother beast to vanilla MP, so I'll accept this new info.

Pretty much was guaranteed you were going to have p2w features when Halo Online leaked, and you read things like pre-order to 'enhance Spartan combat'. Plus with the success of TitanFall, Destiny, you know gamers would literally pay to own the best stuff.

This way, it's limited to the casual mode that was never going to be about skill seeing as how you have several ways to win. Enemy AI in PvP inherently makes the gameplay random. Maybe the boss one shots you, maybe he misses etc. With allowing this mode to be the gongshow, Arena is still going to be free of it, and all map packs for it will be free as well. Now if they only have 1 arena map for every 2 breakout and 2 Warzone maps, I'll be upset.

Long story short, it's shitty, but I'm prepared to accept this if it means Arena remains pure because of it. I just wish Firefight/Spartan Ops weren't cut in the process. Sometimes it's nice to just have simple modes where you can kill enemies without playing with other players.

I dont know if I appreciate that. A warthog or ghost literally splatters Spartans like they were a ragdoll. Having them do a ground pound or a charge all of a sudden gives them enough momentum to displace thousands of pounds of metal and send it flying? I mean as Nebula can attest to, even mongoose can splatter Spartans. Will need to see how it plays out though. I will say the first time I see someone ground pound through a Banshee will be nuts.

I did say Infinity 2.0, this is just the natural progression of what they wanted with Infinity. But at least this way, it doesn't bleed over into regular BTB/Team Slayer.

But people are going to naturally complain they can't buy power weapons or vehicles in Arena. I bet Arena will become the new slur against competitive players. You Arena babies and your MLG, we just want to have fun etc.

Agreed. The weapon sounds are pretty freaking bland to mediocre. Kinda kills the feel to me.
