You two watched a Halo 4 presentation and are now stealth bragging about it. We'd appreciate it if you stopped, things are already bad enough as they are with having to wait till the embargo ends, we don't need the extra hurt.

Edit: Still, no point in getting angry at anyone over it, though. It was cool on 343's part to invite some people from the community to see whatever it is they saw.

Jealousy is a reasonable and natural response. Anger? Hell no - entitlement is something I'd rather see left to other forums.

If anyone from HaloGAF got to sign an NDA and hear early info, well that's awesome. (Big emphasis on IF - nothing's certain here.) More power to them. I'd be jealous too, but we can't expect our friendly neighborhood developers to risk being the source of a leak just to keep your feelings from being hurt. Grow up.

I don't get this.

And I just wanna see the game already, if it's in good enough state that some community members can see it, than we can all see it.

I'm not sure why anyone is pissed at 343i, they have full discretion to show as much or as little as they see fit. To be honest, the guys at 343i seem to be itching to reveal stuff to us. They have a plan that they have to follow set by the higher-ups so they can't do any more. I think it was amazing that they care so much about the community that some people potentially have gone to see stuff first. How awesome is that? We don't have much time left anyway!

If one of the specially invited community members break NDAs, it's on the lovely devs who invited them. Guess what would never happen again?

Regarding the fact that some people can, it's all about the gaming press getting their stories sorted so that no-one is left out in the cold for the large numbers of views that will undoubtably come from any kind of Halo 4 reveal. It makes sense, however sucky it might be.

I'm not mad even if they did, though. If anything, it makes me almost certain news is coming incredibly soon, maybe even Monday.

Someone is really going to have to explain the embargo on this one. If it was a public event, why is there an embargo for those who simply could not travel? Seems stupid to me.

Okay. I was under the impression that it was public. I can understand it now, but a 5 day embargo on everything seems like it's going to be media hell in 5 days. Why not say that they'll be revealing certain things over the course of the next five days to increase hype that way? It forces people to stay tuned and thus, more coverage.

Clearly 343 has invented such new concepts as "press-only events" and "embargoes" just to exclude you. God forbid they have any kind of "marketing strategy" or "carefully planned reveals".

And how dare they bend the rules a little bit for local community members. Assholes, the whole lot of them. What kind of business are they running here?
