This is said about a lot of E3's, and I'm sure this one will find a way to be just as disappointing.
I fully expect it to suck.

Xbox One availability.
I don't know what's wrong with me but I'm fucking jazzed for the new console. The TV series was puzzling as a reveal at a console event but it has potential to be awesome! I get the cynicism all around buy thankful I don't share it.
Yes, this is what occurs when you have the mindset of a spoiled child in grade school.

We're no longer giving out a $10 store credit, but you can still sign up to be notified of Xbox One availability.
Thanks for your interest in Xbox One. We'll let you know just as soon as we start taking pre-orders.
As promised, here's your $10 promo code, good for your next purchase at the Microsoft Online Store:
So my XBL will expire in two months maybe less makes me think if XBL membership would be transferred to the new console or it will be a brand new subscripcion to pay.
"We purposefully did not target the highest end graphics."Everyone is doom and gloom. They showed us a very slick and fast OS that can do just about anything. That dose not mean the Xbox is shit. The game will look just as goo as PS4's. Microsoft said up front today is about what the Xbox can do E3 is about games. I think with MS has a better console with a huge OS advantage. The used games fiasco will spill over to Sony just the same. They let Microsoft look like the bad guys by not talking about it and making MS take the hit.
I don't want to ask in gaming side thread because they're even more upset than me, but any techies out there, now that we've got the specs for both consoles, how are they comparable? The processors, xbox one is handling a lot more tasks etc.
How does the 8 gb ddr3 compare to the 8 gb gddr5 for ps4?
Since I never bought kinect, the fact it's forced now, how would it work if you had it in your room? I like to game at night sometimes, I have an xbox 360 in the living room and bedroom. If I kept it in my room, would it mess up if I'm on my bed or something?
Sony should say the same thing. The PS4 and the Xbox are very low end gaming rigs. What do you expect for $500.00
I feel that she resembles casualising Halo.
live action/cgi Destiny trailer this thursday

Except in this case, the GDDR 3 is severely limited in comparison to GDDR 5. There's a massive difference. If the PS4 only had 4GB of GDDR 5 and the XI had the full 8GB of GDRR 3, then maybe the difference would be more ambiguous. But that isn't the case. Devs have access to 7GB with the PS4 whereas they only have access to 5GB of less efficient RAM with the Xbox.Everyone is a assuming the ram is GDDR 3 MS did not say what it is. It doesn't matter PS4 fans have beat that drum to death although the type of ram is actually not a big deal at all. Each has its pros and cons.
People in the gaming side have come up with the PS4's GPU being roughly 50% more powerful. That's a huge freaking difference, if true of course.Other then that they have damn near the same CPU GPU. The most important part is really in the complete architecture in with I feel Xbox is better thought out. The have cool stuff going on like sram and move engines.
Wow. Fucking lame.
Wow. Fucking lame.
Implying that PS4 will have "highest end graphics"? Lol absurd, PS4 may have high-er end graphic capabilities, but it is not highest end by any means, and I don't think Xbox One is lagging behind in any immediately meaningful fashion.
Wow. Fucking lame.
Yeeepcause they're not doing the presentation for neogaf they're doing it for usa today and cnn
Yeah it's on the Xbox website as well:Looking at the Xbox One info from the dashboard and there is a reference to Smart Match, haven't heard that referenced anywhere else, but maybe just missed it.

They were announcing their MS's own production house for shows, and Halo is their series.Halo series has potential, but what does it have to do with a the new console and why did the news need to come today during the reveal? I'm so confused by it all.
So I've been really busy lately but I thought I'd drop in for some X1 discussion.
I am fine with games being tied to my account IF....
1) I didn't always have to be online
2) I could lend the games to friends digitally in a Kindle like manner...(It would be great to lend my game to a friend in a different state over XBL by simply letting them download it and play it for a week or 2)
3) I can "untie" the game from my account and sell it to gamestop/amazon/best buy -OR- give these companies the power to do this via some special machine whenever someone comes in to trade a game in.
4) I can take a game over to someone else's house by using my account on their xbox
Also, with all of this "digital key" and being tied to an account business I'm not sure I understand what the point of having discs at all is, especially if I can not play games offline (which is another problem).
My other gripe is kinect. I still don't want one. I would rather have a WiiU like tablet controller or some sort of integration with android and iOS devices. Right now the WiiU has the best "gimmick".

Pleasure playing with Exwife, Wahrer and co...
Once the game started I couldn't hear how people were doing the automatic light rifles though :\
You don't have to be always online, but you do have to be connected at least once every 24 hours or you can't play games. You can't install games while offline either.
If you take a game to a friend's, you can play it on their console with your ID, but they cannot.
Would that even work???I wonder if we could just plug the Xbox 360 into the Nextbox? It has a HDMI-in socket. I guess then it would be backwards compatible in a way....
:lol

The used game thing sucks for a lot of people, I get that, but when you buy a used game NONE of the profit goes to the people that make it.
All you're doing is supporting gamestop...it is super inconvenient as far as sharing games with friends, etc, but it's helping a problem that's gone on for a long time.
Giantbomb guys wondered that too. Plugging in the $99 box into the One.
