Nah man, we faced the best of the best in Arena just now and they weren't a match.
Kinda tempered by the fact that the win comes while we're watching one of the players just stand in a corner.
And people wonder why SC2 gets more viewers.

Hey guys, is Halo Legends worth watching? A GAFer is selling it and I'm kinda tempted to buy it.

It's not going to blow you away but if you're a fan, it's highly entertaining. Plus, heading into Halo 4, it will make you think and maybe expand your horizons just a bit.

Starcraft is good to watch but you have to watch a bunch of really get into it. If you just watch 5 minutes you don't get caught up in it. Its not as instantly satisfying as Halo.

I personally thought Halo Legends was pretty meh. And not having Jen Taylor voice Cortana, who is narrating the entirety of Origins, just sticks out like a sore thumb.
But it did give us this hotness.
It's like any spectator sport--your enjoyment is at least in part proportional to actually understanding the rules of the game.
If you don't care about football, it's just people running back and forth across a field--not that interesting either. If you know strategies, plays, and have a concept of just how much athleticism is required, it becomes much more impressive.
(Except golf. I love that game to death, but how anyone can watch others play on the tube it is beyond me.)
The music was the only part of Legends I can say I liked without reservation. I'll just never understand why they gave Halo to the Japanese of all people. It's not like they are a target audience.

I think I'll pick up Halo Legends. $15 isn't that much of a gamble, plus it's the steelbook version. And I like steelbooks, lol.

These can go hand in hand. Which is why the Halo 2 LE is still the best LE. The packaging snob in me gets tingles just thinking about it.

Well The Animatrix and Batman Gotham Knights did the anime anthology thing first so I'm sure that's where the idea for Halo Legends stemmed from.

Congrats to Plywood. 100 Perfectos is crazy. I am jealous. Glad to see the old avatar has returned as well.
Legends was better than I expected on the whole. Animatrix set the standard for that sort of thing. It's the second best entry in the Matrix franchise and was seen by only a tiny fraction of the Matrix's target audience. Kind of sad what happened to that franchise. Please don't let that happen to Halo 343. No pressure or anything.
It has a slipcover?! I have a copy with the steelbook, but I had no idea it came with a slipcover. I bought it from a friend, though, that'd probably explain where it went.

I can never make it to the hill in MLG without dying, it's not for lack of trying. I usually try to cap flags and get hill time because I'm inept at getting kills in the playlist.
Last game a teammate quit out in the lobby, our Inheritor went -14, let's see how many losses I can pile up in a row.

HaloGAF final transition stats
I'll be doing a gigantic sweep of HaloGAF stats after the transition is over, getting the final bungie.net stats as well as starting to use the Waypoint stats afterwards. If you want to be included make sure you are on the HaloGAF list and that your gamertag is correct. I might include some of you that aren't on the list(Tashi/Frankie/Alienshogun) as well.
I'll be collecting only competitive stats, otherwise it would take too long(and frankly it's a bit boring work) to get everything else. I'll be getting every medal, most weapons, and the general stats found on this page(if you're signed into WLID when you click it). If you're interested in other stats, I can collect them for you as well; just let me know what you want. I'll be doing derivative stuff like headshot %, perfectionist, worst, and so on.
Again, if you have any requests for competitive stats, just let me know what you want and hopefully I'll be able to do it. Until then, I wish you all a good night, and go Louisville!
