One does not simply jetpack-evade into Onyx...
Oh, but, yes!
They told me I could do anything and so I became a god.
It's not about nerfing them so they aren't fun to use, it's about making AA's an augmentation to your movement and combat abilities instead of dominating the game like in Reach. Faster movement, better jumping, and faster kill times with weapons will help that without even changing the AA's. Then you adjust/nerf the AA's and in theory, you should have AA's compliment the game in a nice way instead of dominate the game.I want to stay positive, but at the same time I don't see them nerfing the jetpack (or every AA) to the point where it's no longer fun to use as it was to the people that used them in Reach.
Me and my friends were talking about the AAs yesterday and I have a question for HaloGAF, which way would you like AAs to work in Halo 4
A) Like Reach where they recharge and are constant use
B) points being used to recharge your ability (like the +5 medals)
or
C) Random power supplies on the map which recharge your abilities
(Personally I like option B)
Either A or C. With B, AA's would start to behave as kill/point streaks in some ways. I don't think I'd like that in Halo.
wow, get some perspective man.I REALLY want to but the guy who made it is such a fucking douche.
Trust me he has done more than that Japanese comment, like telling people to choke on his dick and ect, the guy is a fuck.

This is what I'm thinking, more of a booster pack than anything. *fingers crossed*Like I said, I have a hunch that the jetpack is more of a booster pack (think what the Spartans used for navigating space in the books) and will merely help you extend jumps further and higher.
I hope if's something more along the lines of a finite supply you have to recharge either by using your own shields (leaving you temporarily vulnerable), a charging station similar to the supply crates in Firefight, or maybe even a resupply from a felled enemy the same way you add to your ammo.Me and my friends were talking about the AAs yesterday and I have a question for HaloGAF, which way would you like AAs to work in Halo 4

Do you not buy electronics because of terrible working conditions in China?
Do you not watch TV shows on channels owned by evil megacorporations?
Do you not eat food where the meat has come from farms with horrific conditions from animals?
Yet you're gonna sit on your high horse about a guy telling someone else to "eat a dick" on Twitter....Really? REALLY? That's where you gonna draw a line about defining your consumer habits?
Keep on posting the music at least, its amazing.Errr ok, I think we should get on topic now. Sorry to bring up FEZ :/

My point is that OF COURSE you don't support bad working conditions in China. Who does? But you still go out and buy a 360, or a smartphone, or a TV...don't you?Are you fucking for real right now? I do not support the working conditions of China workers either and I said I will probably buy Fez when it goes on sale. As of now though I do not want to buy it at full price because I do not support the guy, not going the never buy it though because the game does look like a lot of fun.

As for Halo as an M game, it seems to be that all FPS games get M ratings regardless of how intense or gory the violence is.
Shit yeah! And I'll add a bunch of candies as seduction. How could they say no to the offer I'll embezzle to them?Pitch them as a premium DLC option - new announcer voices!
Ehh, I see what you're saying. There's far more important reasons not to support certain products/businesses. But someone being a jerk is a decent enough reason for me. I don't know anything about what this Fez guy has said, so I can't comment on that case specifically.wow, get some perspective man.

Capitalism demands that we support exploitation. The entire economy is built upon the exploitation of some and the profit of others. It's true that we're supporting that system by buying into it, but it doesn't mean that we support it politically or ethically. This is far more complicated than you're making it out to be, and if someone wants to exercise agency and not buy one product from one particular jerk, what's the issue? My point is that OF COURSE you don't support bad working conditions in China. Who does? But you still go out and buy a 360, or a smartphone, or a TV...don't you?
And just the same, the guy is a douche, but he's not the only one who made the game. And its just a...cheap and tacky thing to get all worked up and say that you're only gonna buy the game when its goes on sale. It's freaking $10 man, support the OTHER 4 guys who worked on the game.
Pick-ups with very limited number of uses. But since we know people will spawn with them, I want people to have to pick up energy for them around the map at least. I want the game to be about the shooting with the occasional powerup thrown in to mix things up, like Halo 3, not the Armor Ability bonanza that was default Reach every second of every match, that stuff gets old fast.Me and my friends were talking about the AAs yesterday and I have a question for HaloGAF, which way would you like AAs to work in Halo 4

Use them for you're indie game "Zalo".So Steitzer. That's great. But what should I do with my recorded samples?
lol
So who's picking up Trials? That game looks rad.

They could whatever they want with Halo as long as they put it on the map and let people spawn on equal footing.See thats not going to happen though
Played it at PAX. The multiplayer was hilarious fun.
-------
Just brainstorming, but what if these new changes are limited to a specific playlists/gametypes?
Team Slayer
- NO Drop-in/Drop-out.
- Power weapons spawn as in previous games.
- No loadouts - everyone spawns with a BR and sprint.
- Score based on kills only. (+10/Kill)
- Bigger credit reward at the end for game completion and victory.
Mercenary Slayer
- Drop-in/Drop-out
- Loadouts - choose AR/BR/DMR, grenade type, etc.
- Power weapons spawn at specific locations, but the type of weapon and spawn time are random. Waypoints indicate the next one to spawn.
- Score based on kills, medals, objectives, etc. (+10/Kill, +5/Assist, +5/FlagReturn)
So Team Slayer is for competitive players and teams of three or four. Mercenary Slayer is for casuals and randoms. One playlist keeps the classic Halo match setup while the other emulates the CoD match style - but aside from loadouts and weapon spawns the gameplay mechanics between the two are exactly the same (i.e. no difference in run speed, health, etc.).
Good thinking, but I don't want them to fragment loadouts, I want those static throughout all gametypes.
Lord no.
They could whatever they want with Halo as long as they put it on the map and let people spawn on equal footing.
Lord no.
AAs pick-ups, progression system to be able to use them.

See we get points for almost every thing now so it wont behave exactly like kill streaks and option B assures that the AAs will not be used constantly like in Reach. Though C is also another good option.

Seriously? Why does everything remind of the Uncharted 3 Review thing?
Edit.: GameInformer is following the account. Halo 4 is dead, they play it and they want to boycott it. OMG.
Being able to pick your load out can mean never starting with an AR again. I approve.
Right, because spawning with ARs is better than being able to choose to spawn with AR/BR/DMR if they are all balanced off each other.

Duncan even posted "BR with sprint standard". Keep it at that and I'm fine. We just know the DMR is included, and as far as I know it's not confirmed to be a loadout weapon.
I don't know who you are, but I like the cut of your jib.wow, get some perspective man.

Random thought:
Forerunner vision would make a good 'scanning mode' view with which to find hidden goodies in Campaign.
