Kind of worried in case you view people who complain about Reach as 'team downer' and think theres only 5 of them. Im hoping thats not what your getting at. I think your mostly talking about Halo 4 there though, all I have to say is its hard not to be 'team downer' when it comes to the Halo 4 news. You said yourself on paper it sounds odd, without context of gameplay video you cant blame people for being pessimistic.
The very slight affont to the pessimists from 343 worries me more than the gameplay at this stage.

Im probably not reading clearly, my point was simply that more than 5 people are pessimistic and that wont change until gameplay footage gets released. I read your post as being quite negative to people who are being pessimistic. I apologise if thats not the case but as someone who is quite pessimistic at this stage seeing "fear is the progress of enemy" even as a toungue in cheek tweet in response to the pessimistic way people reacted to the first H4 news makes me worry. (That one wasnt from frankie and to be fair im probably again looking too far into that comment)

Sorry Bob, didn't mean to blame you - I was being literal. We're super busy anyway and at this point I am either preaching to the choir, or folks have already made their minds up, or folks are absolutely taking a wait and see attitude - all completely fair states - me having the same pointless back and forth with Kyle and Letters etc, is really futile and if anything is a distraction in the thread, so I am going to stick to assaulting Ron Paul and dreaming of Prometheus for a bit.

I didn't post this earlier, but I am in LOVE with the new Halo Music, and the composer. Way to go with the choice 343i, no joke. I look forward to hearing more, and I'm sure this will be an amazing experience.

I don't understand. How can you be team downer on Halo 4 news?
The only thing I am still worried about are the modifications, but they haven't even talked about them yet so whatev.
Everything they are doing is long overdue.
Halo's gameplay was in need of evolution, Reach was really the first time it changed since CE!
And unfortunately Reach wasn't given the proper love it deserved, apparent from game breaking mechanics that weren't caught before its release. (Jetpack flying, Zealot space, Asylum framerate)
Now it is obvious that 343i is passionate about the product they are making.
All additions are receiving through thought and testing (they said they have been revising armor abilities since the beginning, can only assume other features are receiving the same).
And really, there is no way Microsoft would allow this game not to be the best Halo game ever.
They have commited to another trilogy of Halo, they know the population is fragmented and hurting.
Halo 4 is such a huge game for the future success of Xbox's biggest franchise.

I apologise if im the straw that broke the camels back, on here at least ive always tried to throw down a fairly balanced view, sucks that I had a bit of a knee jerk reaction there. I have always said im pessimistic by the info thats been put out there (especially after Reach) but will make a fair judgement based on gameplay footage.
Some of the people here might not be much fun to communicate with, but the majority here enjoy getting to talk to you, regardless I can see why the negative people (myself included) might make this place seem hostile. Sorry man
