Marcel L'Adapteur.
Cut to: November 6th Gamespot interview with Frankie...
"Someone in the chat wants to know what "Marcel Ladateur" is up to these days? Oh, I'm sorry that's "L'Adapteur".
Marcel L'Adapteur.
This sounds like the greatest gametype I have ever heard of, make sure this Marcel fellow gets a raise.Marcel likes plasma weapons exclusively and his favorite historical game type is 1:1 CTF on Blood Gulch with 50% speed and full invis for both 'teams'
Marcel L'Adapteur.
Chad hasn't worked at 343 for some months. But Kyle still needs a name to pin on someone not making the precise thing he likes, so he can post enthralling inflammatory posts, because they are the only things that spark discussion (which finally explains those little kids in high school who would sit in puddles or act out in the cafeteria) so I have invented a fake playlist manager named 'Marcel.'

Someone quote the OP.

Is it me or do the Promethean Knights look exceptionally goofy? I think the crawlers look great, and as is the design of the engineer things that sprout from the backs of Knights, but the Knights themselves look pretty awful, in my opinion.

Looks like you're wrong.Just you.
I like the idea from a functional perspective, the way the engineers sprout from their back, but it makes them look like onions, which just adds to how ridiculous they look. The skull face specifically at fault in this.I'm really not a fan of the UFO spaceship attached to their backs.
I'm really curious to see what their version of a hunter is going to be.
And what we will fight using that giant mech.

How old are you? What country or state are you posting from? (Optional)

prospective University student.
It's the skull face design
Wait? You told me that the Singleplayer gameplay footage was not released officially. It is. But what are you trying to say now?

They remind me a lot of the Guardians in Borderlands. Their movement, the light trails behind them, and their general shape.

Misunderstanding on both said. But still 343i or Microsoft have released Direct feed stuff.I thought the gameplay footage from comic con was yet to be released in HD quality(the video being played in theaters).
When you said "It has officially been released?" I thought you were asking me, not telling me.
It's the skull face design and the onion back pack specifically that make them look goofy to me. One thing I've always loved about the design of the covenant is that they weren't these overt evil beings, and rather very neutral looking aliens in cool armour. Look at the Elites without armour, the prophets with their gangly necks, the big blobby engineers strapped with explosives.I can see why you would say that, but personally I like them. I agree that the crawlers are better, but I don't see anything particularly bad in the Knight's design.
Might start calling them onions. That "backpack" could have been much smaller IMO. The only issue I have with the way they look is that giant spaceship/backpack.

These Knights don't strike me as sophisticated enemy design in the same way. It's just 'evil skull face' connotes big baddy. And the backpack looks like a cape which is equally as obvious.

Switch Grenade and Armor Ability on Bumper Jumper.
Please.
For the LOVE OF GOD.

Love the new pelican design at the end. Thanks for posting. Great quality. The mission seems a little cramped for four players, at least for the first half of it, but as this would be the first time many people have played it, I guess it's for the best. We've seen the bigger SpOps missions through screenshots.
Looks like a lot of fun. Can't wait to play.
I think they are carrying the Watcher(The flying enemy which supports them) in the "onions".It's the skull face design and the onion back pack specifically that make them look goofy to me. I am slowly working my way through reading the entirety of this thread (slow down, kids), but in case it hasn't been covered again since:
I have started getting the hang of bumper jumper. I still have issues when I get in a tight situation and am trying to do 5 things at once while being shot, but I am getting there.
For 4 I plan to do bumper jumper, but have sprint on the left stick click, and crouch as a toggle on A or something.
For someone who originally disagreed with my assertion, you're doing an awfully good job of arguing it.
That's interesting. I was instantly drawn to the idea of a dog class enemy, so perhaps that helped me appreciate the design more, because I was particularly welcoming of it's inclusion.funny, i had the opposite opinion. the knights look entirely original and awesome, the crawlers look stupid and like something i've seen a hundred times before.
Without the cape and the skull face that looks miles better, instantly. Have we figured out the differences between the blue and red yet? I know Dani was writing something up in that regard.I see where you're coming from, but I think there's going to be more variety to the Prometheans than we've seen yet.
These guys for a start:
I'm well aware, and as I've said I really like that idea, I just sort of hoped they'd take some sort of fictional liberties with that one and have the Watcher unfold out of them, rather than them needing a huge fuckoff backpack that makes them look like an onion.I think they are carrying the Watcher(The flying enemy which supports them) in the "onions".
The news is it's been fixed.I am slowly working my way through reading the entirety of this thread (slow down, kids), but in case it hasn't been covered again since:
Hmm, friend brought up a good point. What will the launch of the next Xbox do for Halo 4 next year? Think they will do a GOTY (of sorts) version of Halo 4 that is upgraded for the next system? Or just rely on backwards compatibility to keep people playing?
Regarding to the leaked documents it has full backwards compatibility. I really hope they don't change this feature. I would like to play some "oldschool" games in the future sometimes, too.

BJ be praised. The news is it's been fixed.
That looked awesome! I see they have a new model for the pelican maybe? I hope its got better armor so it doesn't get one shot by a banshee.
They have weapons that expand and restructure themselves, why can't the watchers fold out of a small opening in their armour, rather than need a substantial backpack that distorts their silhouette immensely. Perhaps the whole onion shaped silhouette is part of the reason 343 chose the design, to differentiate the Knights on a basic level from the Elites.
