Halo: Reach Beta Thread

Oh, I see. Yeah I'd be cool with that. I'm really interested in seeing if there is a healthy variety of objectives within Invasion, some that alter the map or are more laden in the fiction, as the current ones aren't terribly exciting. I wouldn't mind having generator defense being a standalone objective gametype either or part of Firefight as many have speculated.

That's the one thing that could make firefight worthwhile for me, some objectives.

I could actually see this happening. I've obviously only seen videos of Generator Defense, but it seems like it could possibly get old quickly after too many games of it (IMO, still would love to play it nonstop when it comes online). Invasion seems like the perfect place for it to be fit into.

It all makes sense when you learn in Reach's campaign that Elites can control computer systems WITH THEIR MINDS. :D

Edit: While standing in conveniently colored circles, of course.

Nm, I was wrong haha. I thought they were like the awful achievements in Halo 3. Ram fails at using "..." :)
 
Wow, that HBO game is, like, anti-fun. After what felt like half an hour, my best is 1.9.

Also, why do I still have child restrictions on my Live account? I haven't legally been a child for almost a year, so why does it still yell at me when I try to do stuff?
 
That sweatshirt is going to be awesome. I'll wear it. I love winning stuff for my avatar, but not paying for it.

I'm playing some TS to get pumped for the Beta. Havin fun. :D

I can't wait to play tomorrow. I've had 5 exams in the span of 3 days and I'm running on fumes. Tomorrow is like the carrot dangling in front of me (and I still have 2 more exams to take).

I know I will be tired too when I get home. I will suck it up. I MUST.

Whoa, I just discovered that there's a 35 minute video of the Beta on GiantBomb.

What the eff is up with the Warthog passenger's first person view in the beginning? It looks super sweet!

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but will it be like that in the Beta? If so, can we toggle it back to the old view? (By the way, I had to watch it with the sound off, so I don't know if it was clarified or not.)

Nope, you still just need ODST. The codes being given away are for the F&F branch of the beta, which starts in <12 hours :D

Codes are just for 5 day early acess to the beta, and you would just play the beta off the hard-drive and not through the ODST menu.
