Took down ne0ism and Lazslow earlier in that 4 flag ctf game (late, stoned :lol ), always funny to run into gaffers online. I guess there's a lot of us that managed to get these codes since there's only 5000 players on and most of HaloGAF seems to have their codes.

Having spent the evening with the game I am actually really impressed. What strikes me the most is how markedly different the combat flow is in Reach. Before, and AR/AR fight would always be shoot, run forward while circling a little and then melee. Now the new shield mechanic means that strategy doesn't work any longer and if you think about it you can take down the players trying to do it fairly easily. It leads to more strategic and a more cat and mouse style of play, using the environment as cover and using the guns a lot more than just fists. This together with the new grenades makes this a very different feel. I can't wait to see the reactions of 200000+ fans on monday bitching about the new shields :lol

The graphics are pretty but the motion blur takes some getting used to. When you're into it it's fine but my first few games I thought it looked kinda ugly. I still wish it was about 20% less blurry but I can live with it certainly.

Can't wait for the Arena to open up and I really want to try Spartans v Elites, that's going to be a really unique experience, although I do worry that the elites are going to stomp the spartans every time, they feel so much more powerful to play as. If the Elites are bigger, faster and stronger, what advantage do the spartans have?

My first game, who am I against? Bladed and Dani of course. Who was my first kill (also first strike) of Reach? Dani hehe. We were winning for a bit but man, what a thrilling game.

I loooove Reach. A few sloppy animations here and there during Theatre but oh my god, team swat is awesome.

It varies depending on their movement. If they crouch and stay still, they're harder to see and the ability lasts longer, if they're running with it while it's on, they shimmer a lot more and the power drains faster.
 
Oh god what's happening to me. I... I actually like Sword Base 1flag now. WTF.

Only thing I actively dislike is Covie Slayers and Crazy King on Power...thing. House? Powerbase. Powerstation. Power... Whatever.

While crouched and not moving, i've had multiple people just run on by, with some even stopping and looking right at me before continuing on their merry way.
 
I got a clip that i want to share how do i share it with a friend? i have it in my file share. Also how do i enter a clip in that halo waypoint beta clip show?

Wow am I bad at this game. Either that or everyone I run into is just considerably better. Both probably.

Also I was playing split screen, which didn't help.

Biggest technical improvement? How fast the levels load. Nice job on that front.

Behind where you score the flag on powerhouse. It's out of the regular map flow
 
I've only played one game of Covy slayer but I loved it.

RAGE AT EVERYONE WHO KEEPS PICKING HEADHUNTER, AND HEADHUNTER CONSTANTLY COMING UP. The game type is such an opportunist' game type, can't count how many times the game has ended in Skullimanjaro. Hell I've even camped around heavy kill areas to wait and swoop in on 10 skulls and sprint to victory. Also oddball comes up way too often, while noone seemingly wants to play Crazy King. :/

Matchmaking is so fast that folks are missing vote screen because they're expecting Halo 3 matchmaking times.

And that's with a tiny population.

What about the general "search for game, find game, load game" speed? Probably hard to compare to an Australian but is it anything on the level of MW2?

Yeah I'm always in the Armory, and then the game starts and I'm all WHAAA :lol

This too, but I do hear a lot of people consciously voting down sword base and telling others in the lobby to do the same. It's like SnowBound all over again. I can understand why some people don't like it, but I myself don't find it to be all that bad, and I would like some variety at this point :).

Faster than Halo 3. How it stacks up to MW2, I honestly couldn't tell you, only because I always have issues finding games. Many searches restarted.
 
Anything better than Halo 3 is a plus. Mind numbing load times for Australians, or at least for the ones really down under was a huge negative to the experience of Halo 3 multiplayer.
 
Elite assassinations are so awesome. I just did one where the Elite turns the other one around so that the victim is facing him shoves him to his knees, and stabs him through the mouth. :O

Seriously. I want someone to find a Custom games glitch so badly, just so I can experiment and figure out what all the animations are :D

Also, has anyone figured out how to do the "gut-punch" assassination from the Vidoc, or was that one taken out?
 
I gotta say, after a few more games of the Beta, I think I change my mind :lol

The pistol is really good, and I'm getting used to using it and the DMR. To me, it seems like it might be easier to get no scopes with the sniper, since on one game on Swordbase I got about two or three.

I guess I just needed to get away from a losing streak to appreciate the game. :lol

(I don't know why I keep on making a idiot out of myself when it comes to the beta, that or I'm feeling a bit OCD now. :lol )

Has CR earning system already been explained too? Because I am surprised how the difference can be big between me and some friend while we have roughly the same statistics.

I definitely like Sword Base. It's a very cool map for SWAT and nice for CTF.


By the way, why Overlook is reserved only for Generator Defense ? From what I saw one the videos it seemed to have potential for some CTF. Or is it only for the beta ?

Looks like the Lurkers got all those codes too. Dang. Tried for my bro but my fingers can only work so fast using this laptop pad. I should get a mouse.

Fugh... just had two phenominal stockpile games in a row.

A few games ago i had a covy slayer game. Me and a budy got killed by a grenade launcher but the dude was so close he killed himself, flew back, hit the wall and got stuck on the sink LMAO i love the physics, i love this game!
