It's just what I noticed, it may not be the case compared to other Halo games. Its a personal thing, but hey thats just me.

If you're in here hoping for a balanced discussion you've come to the wrong place. My question was asked in sincerity, sorry you feel that you have to get defensive when someone asks you a question; which is actually ironic seeing how you posted about how people get defensive. :lol
 
Has any one received there Beta Codes from Microsoft yet? The BWU said they'd roll them out this week. Just wondering if any one has received them yet.

Well if you kill people fine what exactly is the problem? It's good that people have to work for their kills and are not just running around spraying 3 bullets into somebody to earn a fucking Harrier jet.

I hear you. Played 12 or 13 games of Arena yesterday and didn't receive a daily rating. The only games that registered were my first 2 and I did poorly in both. Had multiple games of +15 or greater that didn't register. I'll give it a go again tonight as it seems server side issues have been sorted.
 
I threw together a little Highlights video from the games I played in the last few days. This is me testing out my capture equipment, and brushing up on my editing.

I'm not the worlds best or anything, and its less than a minute long. Check it out! I think I kill Urk somewhere in there.

My first Arena game was a 1733





I still can't get used to the markers for CTF. I keep taking all the flags in stockpile to the enemy base, and can never find the cap point in regular CTF. Shit sucks

I think they can reduce the health just a bit.

I enjoyed that. Good editing. The music was a little over the top.
 
Some of you people are batshit crazy. There's very little goddamned float in Reach. Seems Bungie compensated for the jetpacks by lowering the jump height. I like it personally.
 
Is it just me or are there a lot of non Halo players playing? I've seen people running around not doing anything, dying repeatedly and even asking what the buttons are to shoot and what not.

I cant believe I got this kill. Tossed a frag at the guy after he missed me with one, clocks the guy making him recoil abit, and the frag ends up traveling forward trashing his shields. Finished him off with the magnum.
 
After an abysmal ranking yesterday (around 1350) I've played some blinders today and got a rating of 1650. All the normal ability players have really boosted my game.

One thing I've noticed today is a lot more jetpack play. I think this'll settle down in a few days, because at the moment I'm just raining pistol death on these guys :lol Starting to get the hang of the DMR properly now as well. If you just slow down and shoot at the same rate as the old BR it's a lot more effective.

Yeah, that was kinda the point :) good to hear you enjoyed it.

I dont really like highlight videos that are 5 minutes long. so I wanted something that is short, fast and over the top.

I stated this before (being floaty) but I was wrong now that I actually went back and felt it, I was basing my initial impression on some weird instance that I had in the game.

Fuck the grenades. Seriously, what the hell. I haven't played with a single person who doesn't think they are overpowered.
 
I'm really digging the game so far. My favorite thing is probably sprint -- I like to just trash a guy or two and get the fuck out as fast as I can to the nearest health station. Keeps my K/D okay.

I'm a little confused about the scoring. At one point I had 2 of those 3 white bars filled, and now it's just a number that fluctuates between 1540 and 1580 or something. How do you get the bars back or do they even matter?

Came to post about this. Is it meant to be like this? Seems like they got the colours mixed up. KOTH was the same - blue icon meant red team controlling the hill. Is this a glitch?

Otherwise, I dunno, OK I guess. Maybe after 4 games it's a bit difficult to get excited over a Halo again. Still looking forward to the single-player campaign though.

Same here.. and I did really good in those games. :(
 
I think the biggest loser with the new melee system is the AR.

Even though the Reach AR has more range than it's Halo 3 counterpart, the Halo 3 AR is by FAR more useful and effective because of it's power in close range combined with melee.

Reach CQC is a race to who can get the first melee off. It's so... yuck. I really really hope they change the melee system for the final release.

HD is up. It seems to be running like poop on this comp. can someone check it out in HD and tell me if this frame rate issue is on my end? Or if I need to re-do the export. ):
