Alarm was expressed at a one-sentence description, the fact that it's going Multi -> Campaign and not the other way around clears it up alot.
There's still the question about multiplayer environments that aren't in campaign? Will they only come as dlc?

These seem all like random lines the guys asked the voice actor to blurt into the mic for shit and giggles. I wouldn't look much into it right now.

That would be total sweetness, as long as it doesn't show something totally different to what happened in your point of view during gameplay, like in the CODs. Maybe only show the winning kill if it was a special kill, and not a close dmr vs dmr duel that would leave the loser frustrated after seeing the replay and then bitching about it in every post game lobby.

If they had taken stuff from the campaign and turned it into matchmaking maps, I would have been more irritated. But throwing already made maps into the campaign doesn't bother me as much for some reason.

The gaffer with the slowest internet will be able to choose which weapons you'll start with on Reach Multiplayer
 
Hopefully if we have saved films in the Reach beta, we'll be able to play videos from the beta in the final game, unlike Halo 3.

Bungie, I want to see my H3 Beta videos. :(

Me too. Really wish they didn't shut off the beta theater. Sometimes when I find those replay files on my hard drive, I just look at the file names, and remember the good times. Same for beta itself, always there on my demos list, never gonna get deleted.

There were so many awesome things about the H3 Beta.
-Deploying the bubble shield on Snowbound protected you from the plasma turrets.
-The Valhalla space glitch.
-Turning the player speed in the custom games glitch allowed you to splatter other players if you ran into them.
-The carbine was deadly.
-The tripmine was still in Valhalla.
 
Eurgh, "Nice Spawn Bro" - what is this about.

I really doubt we will hear this in 'normal' play, its just a bit jarring (and potentially too common for a jokey announcment), so I wonder what it could be.

I had so much fun with this. I think a good third of my Beta games were just turning the speed up to max and having games where you have to ram people to kill them. Juggernaut was so awesome with that setting; the Juggernaut was super fast, and everyone else was normal. You had to assassinate the Juggernaut to kill him. It was so much fun to sidestep a Spartan going half the speed of sound and punch him in the back of the head :D

If Reach is like Halo 3 that clip is going to be playing at the same pace as Flag Dropped/Flag Taken.

Bungie you really need to address the BR. Is it in, or is it not?
 
I wonder why they haven't added an optional Third Person view. I think it's a bit strange that they have so many elements now that "Forces" A third person view. I would like to be able to have First Person inside vehicles, as well as third person while gunning around... :)


I noticed that one of the characters in the Reach trailer had a knife. Do you think there might be a combat knife playable in Multiplayer?

How much do you think we will be able to customize of our characters in multiplayer? Would it be cool if they could disable Helmet graphics, and use our own custom face/hairstyle/beard... ?

Just to be absolutely sure I'm understanding the process correctly, the multiplayer maps were developed first, then once they were finished, they were handed over to the campaign team to be tweaked to a part of a much larger campaign missions?

My only worry is asthetics, if ALL multiplayer maps are from campeign then theyre going to be limited in what they can make.

Its pretty trivial, but the sheer variety of locales in the previuse maps is incredible.

It was WICKED overpowered, but hilarious. Having a whole team killed in a Hog, at their spawn was unarguably mirthful, but created a massive lopsidedness. It was also much more capable of ejecting like, half the people in the game into a respawn state, which has way more far-reaching problems than you'd think.

Jihad tactics only work if it doesn't blow up as soon as you start driving it. That's just Darwin Awards Tactics.

True, but remember that nearly every setting of the Halo 2 and Halo 3 maps came from campaign. So as long as Reach has the same kind of diversity, that aspect should be fine.

Or park it next to theirs, trip-mine that one too. Parking lot of tragedy.

It would be a lot easier to drive a naked hog and plant the mine later though. Just sayin'

That doesn't seem like it would work very well in the Halo Gameplay. Having to remote detonate means people will have to be camping to see when enemies are in range, and Halo is pretty good about not rewarding campers.

I wish it was at least wasn't as glowy and noticeable now. The mines in Bad Company I would place along the main road on the Harvest Day map and tanks and vehicles would always run over them. :lol It helped to place them in ditches in the road that were made from explosions as well. Otherwise, I'd make my own holes in the road. :p

I'm under the impression it's seven headshots in a row. Maybe because 'headshotamanjaro' doesn't really roll off the tongue. idk, anything could happen i guess.

it comes out to $40 a month for the internet but I get a $12 discount because I also get my cable and telephone through the same company and my total bill is much higher. I was actually a little surprised, my bill says I'm only supposed to be getting 20 mbps but all their recent advertising is touting that they give you 50mbs and will soon be going to 100mbps.
