Finally bought a new PSP, but then pushed the demon onto someone else. Jesus.
Halo PC sucked. If that was their master plan, they should've been in talks with a more capable developer. A Gearbox fan I am not.

Bungie has said in the past that the release of Halo on Mac and PC was really the fulfillment of their promise to those markets that they would get the game, as was originally announced. It was to appeal to their fans on those platforms who did not want to make plunge to XBox to follow the company they were fans of. That said, Bungie never committed to Halo 2 hitting PC.

It seemed obvious to me since the day they announced it. So, no surprise. And I don't see why you should feel angry: if you really liked Halo on PC, you can play its sequel on Xbox with a relatively low total expense...WordofGod said:

Treating consumers like disposable meat nuggets and squeezing them 'til they bleed, to a degree that would make even hardened students of business ethics blush, is nothing new to them. Things like their long-term ambition to turn the home PC into little more than a glorified set-top box and their so-called 'Trustworthy Computing initiative' (which is far from worthy of any sane consumers' trust) are much more deserving of my ire. Trying to get PC owners hooked on a port of Halo so they'll buy an Xbox for the exclusive sequel is a drop in the bucket by comparison. Especially when the port is so crummy, it's probably convinced people on the fence not to buy Xboxes.
I don't know anyone who got hooked on the PC version, when they finish it, they usually just scratch their head and wonder what all the fuss was about.
But I think the first one was a promise, they announced it first for Mac and PC and they kept to their word even with the Mac version. There was no such promise with Halo 2.

If you honestly believe MS dangeled a carrott to the pc dudes just to get them to buy Halo 2 on xbox....... you must be seeing ufo's. Picture this;
Before xbox, MS made games for the PC. During and After the xbox, they still do.

1. They literally just finished Halo 2, why would they so quickly announce "oh hell 6 million in sales is really bad.. lets announce it for PC to save our ass" or even more bizare "lets be kind to the pc dudes, cause they will buy halo 3 on xennon". Give us a fucking break.
2. Its only just into the products life cycle.
3. Its an xbox game first, not a mutliplatform game. Get that into your head.
4. MS/Bungie didnt port it, dont blame them.

The idea that Microsoft allowed the release of Halo 1 on the PC just so that it would convince PC gamers to buy an Xbox for Halo 2 makes A LOT of business sense and the fact that you don't even comprehend this simple fact shows just how credible your opinion really is.
