Happy Ramadan!

Ramadan is my favorite time of year. All of the restaurants in Malaysia offer insane lunch deals and iftar buffets. Non Muslims eat like kings during the fast then we feast in hari raya. Wins all around.
Interesting. In my country, it seems like restaurants are trying to rip people off during Ramadan with insane prices compared to regular meals.

Ramadan Mubarak to everyone! Any non-Muslims got genuine questions? Feel free to ask, I'll try to answer.

When I say merry Christmas it's directed at everyone - jew, muslim, Buddhist etc.

Not sure why you're excluding everyone except Muslims.

How about happy Ramadan everyone!
There’s always one isn’t there. One absolute fuckin cretin who sees people from different cultures celebrating something and just can’t contain their raging idiocy. Muslims don’t celebrate Xmas you dumbass.

Anyways, happy Ramadan to those who are celebrating it.

Is there a consequence for eating in the sun?
Not really. It's just your fast doesn't count if you eat or drink anything. As long as your health is okay, you're obligated to fast for the entire month of Ramadan, every day, and it's usually for 30 days.

So if you skip or break a fast prematurely, that day doesn't count. And you have to make up for the lost days by keeping fasts after the month of Ramadan.

I don’t know much about it but a guy told me it wasn’t too bad in the winter, but sucks in the summer because the days are longer and he has to get up earlier for the prayers.
Yes, the days are longer in Summer, so you have to fast for a longer period (time b/w sunrise and sunset).

You also dehydrate faster in the Summer, so you feel thirsty quicker and more often. Fasting in winter is easier because of shorter days, and you don't feel as thirsty or sapped.

You're a bit out of line. I'm not Muslim but I always celebrate with my friends the same way they are always over for Christmas eve. It's absolutely normal to extend holiday greetings to everybody in a civilized society. It's only Americans who break down if the wrong person is wished a happy Ramadan or merry Christmas.

Thats with dehydrating I would see as a bigger problem as not eating, especially during a hot summer in the middle east...

Guy came in to bitch because the op said happy Ramadan to Muslims. It's the dumbest but what about me type of shit. It might be normal to extend holiday greetings, but it ain't fuckin mandatory. If Muslims/Jews/Sikhs/Buddhists/Red Sox Fans want to extend greetings to others in their faith they should be allowed to do it without a bunch of fragile asshats whining about not being included.

I really think you guys misread OP. Read it again carefully. Its basically the opposite of what you describe. You guys just latched onto the "merry christmas" bit instead of taking the entire context. One shouldn't have to say "to Muslims" or "to Christians" in a multi-cultural society since being part of a multi-cultural society entails celebrating everybody.

Ramadan Mubarak! Have to say the most difficult part so far is not smoking from the juul…I’ve become addicted to nicotine.

This will be the first year I’m in office during Ramadan (wfh past several years). I’m legit worried, I take a lot of caffeine throughout the day. I wonder if I can do it
