Aren't you being a little pedantic? When I say merry Christmas it's directed at everyone - jew, muslim, Buddhist etc.
Not sure why you're excluding everyone except Muslims.
How about happy Ramadan everyone!
Yep. Food/water allowed only before sunrise and after sunset - not in between.Enjoy eating after sundown.....That is how this month works right?
Interesting. In my country, it seems like restaurants are trying to rip people off during Ramadan with insane prices compared to regular meals.Ramadan is my favorite time of year. All of the restaurants in Malaysia offer insane lunch deals and iftar buffets. Non Muslims eat like kings during the fast then we feast in hari raya. Wins all around.
Is there a consequence for eating in the sun?Yep. Food/water allowed only before sunrise and after sunset - not in between.
There’s always one isn’t there. One absolute fuckin cretin who sees people from different cultures celebrating something and just can’t contain their raging idiocy. Muslims don’t celebrate Xmas you dumbass. When I say merry Christmas it's directed at everyone - jew, muslim, Buddhist etc.

Not really. It's just your fast doesn't count if you eat or drink anything. As long as your health is okay, you're obligated to fast for the entire month of Ramadan, every day, and it's usually for 30 days.Is there a consequence for eating in the sun?
Yes, the days are longer in Summer, so you have to fast for a longer period (time b/w sunrise and sunset).I don’t know much about it but a guy told me it wasn’t too bad in the winter, but sucks in the summer because the days are longer and he has to get up earlier for the prayers.
Sexual intimacy is prohibited too from my understanding of things. Ramadan is a month of self-sacrifice, patience, discipline and reflection. I remember a promo that Hakeem Olajuwon did back in the day and it's still relevant to this day:No sex during the day then?

Anyways, happy Ramadan to those who are celebrating it.
Ramadan never happens the exact same time of year because it’s based of of lunar cycles so it varies a bit.I thought the Ramadan happened in june
Does that mean that you fast too?I'm not Muslim but I always celebrate with my friends
Sometimes yeah.
Thats with dehydrating I would see as a bigger problem as not eating, especially during a hot summer in the middle east...Yes, the days are longer in Summer, so you have to fast for a longer period (time b/w sunrise and sunset).
You also dehydrate faster in the Summer, so you feel thirsty quicker and more often. Fasting in winter is easier because of shorter days, and you don't feel as thirsty or sapped.
haha, no. But when the sun goes down, so do weNo sex during the day then?
You're a bit out of line. I'm not Muslim but I always celebrate with my friends the same way they are always over for Christmas eve. It's absolutely normal to extend holiday greetings to everybody in a civilized society. It's only Americans who break down if the wrong person is wished a happy Ramadan or merry Christmas.
Guy came in to bitch because the op said happy Ramadan to Muslims. It's the dumbest but what about me type of shit. It might be normal to extend holiday greetings, but it ain't fuckin mandatory. If Muslims/Jews/Sikhs/Buddhists/Red Sox Fans want to extend greetings to others in their faith they should be allowed to do it without a bunch of fragile asshats whining about not being included.
Oh FFS shut up you melt. Let the people have their thread to celebrate their holidayI really think you guys misread OP. Read it again carefully. Its basically the opposite of what you describe. You guys just latched onto the "merry christmas" bit instead of taking the entire context. One shouldn't have to say "to Muslims" or "to Christians" in a multi-cultural society since being part of a multi-cultural society entails celebrating everybody.
