But just to chime in with my opinion I get a nice Ratchet and Clank kind of feel from the different guns and their effects. Off course the setting is completely different from the comic mischief of R&C but the guns seem really exotic and diverse. I'm hyped!
 
I hope they don't keep trying to call this 'cyberpunk'. That is about as 'cyberpunk' as the recent Wolfenstein game.
 
Footage it not really selling the idea to me. Looks like another dark shooter with set piece after set piece. Personally I like the setting but I think Prey 2 is doing something much more interesting with it.

It's an arcade shooter with 90s level design and a story specifically designed not to interfere with gameplay.
 
Game looks like you have multiple killing choices. No doubt we will have a scoring system.
Looks good though, If it still looks good closer to release date, I may consider investing in it.

I did read about a scoring system. What I wonder is if the robots must be killed to progress. In Painkiller everything must die but in DOOM and Quake skipping enemies can be optimal and allows for speed running.

Yup, I got a definite Conduit vibe from that as well.

Hopefully this game has at least got some new and interesting gameplay mechanic.

Well, the game looks like the sort to have a scoring system. I just hope they don't over do it.
 
Only thing that really bothered me about that was despite the fact that there is a clearly visible health bar on the HUD, they still spatter the screen in blood and darken/tint it red when hurt. I *hate* that shit. The time to NOT obscure my vision is when I'm taking damage and need to save my ass.

Like the look of that energy weapon. I hope there are more than two actual 'weapon designs' and those two aren't modified to fire everything at least.

It's their way of saying the enemy you killed/defeated was hard to kill so we will splatter a gallon of blood on the screen to make you look like a beast.

I agree with this too.
It looks like it might be a fire/alt fire situation. It does seem like those 2 guns are filling a lot of the standard arsenal out though. Given that they covered a plasma gun, click and hold lightning gun, grenade launcher, and seem to have made a slow machine gun or fast shotgun hybrid, all in two weapons there may not be a lot more weapons.

Usually I don't mind this, but in a lot of cases, the different firing modes/'weapons' change some aspect of the guns appearance. Hopefully you're right it is just a case of alt-fire. Alt-fire doesn't get used enough anymore.
