Man, when I was more in to fast food, I can't believe I liked this place.

They've got some new commercials for their thickburgers, slamming McDonalds. It shows this pregnant woman chowing down on a STACKED thickburger and it even includes those disgusting chomping/slurping noises that people make when they're stuffing their faces. Christ, woman, you don't want to give your baby a heart attack before its out of the womb, do you?!

Ufnrotunately, the advetisement is supposed to portray thickburgers as an "adult" meal, slamming McDonalds for catering to little kids. So the voiceover says she should enjoy the thickburgers while she can, since she'll probably be eating at McD's for the next 10 years.

I don't understand why ad executives think it's cool or cute or whatever to show people eating like pigs. Is that supposed to endear us to whatever product it is that's being shilled?

Carl's Jr. or Jack in the Box recently ran a slew of ads showing people eating meatburgers like complete slobs, chomping and slurping away. Now I guess Hardee's is following the trend.

I absolutely hate the one where it's a bunch of college kids talking and carrying on; then... total silence except for their disgusting eating noises while they eat their thick burgers. I seriously get pissed off everytime I see it.

I dunno. I guess its because the group they're targeting loves to eat like pigs. I hope I wasn't the same way when I used to eat fast food more often. I can't even believe I did now. Sure, I'll go for the occassional fried chicken from Chik-Fil-A or Zaxby's (w/ small order of fries), but I've cut out the burgers and crap completely. Maybe something like this appeals to a lot of people, but it just doesn't appeal to me anymore.

But the commercials are effective. Since they started airing I'm sure a lot more people have started going back to Hardee's, myself being one. I just wish there was one near me now. So freakin good.

Carl's Jr. revived Hardees with items like that 6 dollar burger. Without Carl's, Hardees would be moon dust.
