I lived in Dubai when it was being built. I've eaten at the Wave Hotel right next to it. Its a sight to see. In fact the whole city is a sight.

It looks fantastic, I saw an episode of globe trekker (AKA: lonely planet) about it. I always wanted to visit the middle east, though their are other destinations ahead on the list maybe one day. If I do go maybe I'll slurge and stay a noght.
