Because I haven't seen one...

Anyone seen this flick? I saw it on Sunday night (for free, thankfully). All I'll say is that Tom Hanks' character is very likeable...but that's about all the movie has going for it. Spielberg's trying way too hard to craft another "sentimental" hit, imo.

Other thoughts?

ive read good reviews in the local papers, but not sure i wanna pay even matinee prices to see it

Saw it tonight. It was great until the last 20-25 minutes... It was like a roller coaster that reached its peak and then boom... no big drop, just the exit, have a nice day. Very weird for a movie that was so good up until that point.
