No. I knew no matter the hardware they would be outdated and in between gens again in no time... third partys would drop support and it will be again the same as the switch 1.

I didn't buy one at release (mainly because of the absolutely ludicrous price here in the Nordics), and I had quite a bit of FOMO. Then it turned out MKW isn't that great and DKB is a mindless smash fest without any real challenge, so that FOMO is gone, and now I'm completely fine not owning one until the next Mario or Zelda.

I bought this game called Bridge Constructor Portal the other day that was on sale on Steam for like $1-2 CAD. Just out of curiosity I checked to see if this is available on Switch...it was and the price was like $17 CAD. It's shit like that where even sort of as a casual indie games machine I would have to pay more than buying off other ecosystems.

The "Nintendo tax" is a huge put off.

For example, the original three Devil May Cry games can be purchased on PSN for £24.99 (currently in sale for £8.24)

On the Nintendo E-shop you have to buy the games separately and they cost £15.99 each! That's almost £50 for all three games, close to double the cost on the PlayStation!

Here is another one. Witcher 3, complete edition is £35 on PSN, but £50 on the Switch! A lesser version as well!

I never had a Switch 1 so I would be interested if they would throw out more info about enhanced (hopefully free) patches) versions of Steam 1 games.
Astral Chain, Bayonetta-series, Nier Automata, Mario and nintendo games, Metroid series, all JRPGs etc.
But I will wait for Switch 2 OLED and Steam Deck 2

But the Nintendo tax usually refers to it's products though doesn't it? Why are 3rd party game prices higher? Does Nintendo take a bigger cut than other platforms?

No, I always expected it would run the worst version on the current gen games and guess what? I was even more confident that it would have features like rtx and DLSS, which some were doubting.

Don't change the fact that price was disgusting.
