Smart phones are like a desktop or Laptop now. Most people can buy one and keep them for a few years. Mid range phones provide enough power to do what most people want. In general someone will either buy a top of the line laptop/PC or a mid range one and that will last them years so they can surf the web and watch videos.

I have a note 8, before that I was buying phones every 2 or so years. The Note 8 is enough for me and I just don't fell compelled to pay 1000+ or more to upgrade.

Mastering interactive holo projection will be the pinnacle.
This is the first step.

I know it's not topic for that... BUT:
I have old lg g6. I can spend 600usd... what to get? s10, 7t, rog phone2(8gb weird ads version), s10e ? anything else?
I just browse forums, watch yt, reddit. Could use nice dual speakers since g6 speaker is easy to cover

The LG V50 is a pretty good phone. It's on Android 10.

The quad DAC is excellent if you use headphones.

some of ppsspp games still won't run properly and there's no working psvita emulator or even 3ds on smartphone so we are still long way on the road for perfect smartphones

Yes?

To me my phone is nothing more than a tool. I never spend more than $200 on a new phone and keep it for 3-4 years until it gets banged up and broken. I rarely use it but need it for work and when traveling obviously. We've reached peak utility with phones. A cheap phone can do so much. But fuck social media and mobile gaming.

I'm a dumbass who put my phone through the washing machine.
Went and bought an iPhone XR. It seems like peak smartphone to me.. I know some of the others have better screens or perhaps cameras that I will never need.

That new razr phone looks badass.. but its too expensive.
