The Goodguys in Los Angeles is selling this HDTV for $999. I would like to find out if this tv has 720P and if it is worth the price. TY in advance

I wouldn't know if it's worth the price (is 1k reasonable for a direct-set these days in the US?) but all of the ads I could find would indicate it's a classic 480P/1080i set that (at best) upconverts 720p, and at worst doesn't support it at all.

EDIT: And this thread would indicate it can't handle 720p at all, but is a good SDTV set otherwise.

It doesn't handle 720p.

In general, I'd avoid this set.

It seems to have some weird issues with its 480i upconverter, among other things.

Ty for all of the help. I guess I will wait for some of the LCD 1080P sets to come out before I buy another HDTV again.
