Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Xbox Series X|S: The DF Tech Review

played through it on enhanced, looks great and still an interesting game..kind of gets under my skin with the audio.
The resolution mode looks great but the performance mode looks pretty unnecessary to me. on my CX it honestly doesn't even look smoother than 60fps because the heavy ass motion blur makes it look 60 anyway, so all I see is a much much lower resolution picture at essentially the same framerate....so resolution or enhanced are the real options. Nice to see it optimized though and it even goes beyond the current PC version.

Resolution mode seems the best way to play to me after trying all three, game just doesn't need 120fps but 60fps with a nice resolution and effects bump is a worthwhile upgrade.
Good to see all this extra work being done for no extra charge, best console versions and it's on Gamepass also.

I played this just a few months ago because i thought it was already enhanced lol. Game was so good, had to beat it twice because it was bugged to not give achievements after suspend/resume. What a hidden gem of a game.

The difference is really big, did not think it was so important! When I see some people mocking this update (when I see kingtrash message on Twitter or others criticizing this update at RT level...)

No no, play it in standard Xbox One version for the best experience.

pffft, what does enhanced even mean anyway!?
Well that would be pointless. I was wondering if the enhanced was worth it over frame rate or resolution. Thanks for the reply, I think your mum is calling, time for bed....

He just misunderstood if you were talking about the enhanced version over the original not the different modes in this update. For the answer to your question Riky Riky has the answer:

And we can't imagine you ever posting anything positive in an Xbox thread.

That's cool, but I can't imagine ever wanting to replay this game again.
I never finished the pc version and I still have like 300 easy gamer score to get from it, but I think I lost the save file, not sure I want to slog through this crap again but that's the only reason I would (no shame here)

What kind of gamer says stuff like that?? If there is 120fps available for ANY game, you take it, and smile.
In this case it really is a waste... the resolution mode is 4K 60 and framerate mode is 1080 with unstable 120...its certainly smooth, but hard to notice when the game has so much motion blur going on anyway.

In a closed box where the hardware is limited by MSRP cost. I would rather see developers push more graphical features at 60 FPS. 120 FPS is a waste in this use case.

120hz is a waste for sure, but options are never a bad thing, I'm playing it in resolution mode, 4k60fps is king, same as doom eternal

I get what you're saying and I agree, developers should focus on 60fps and the best they can do visually at that framerate, 120fps is overkill for most scenarios and unnecessary for this type of game, but it's not like we were negated from any options as there is also a 30fps option with Ray Tracing and a resolution option at 60. Apparently the best way to play it is in resolution mode at 60fps, so there is a point where just eye candy with disregard to other elements that make a game isn't always the best solution. 120fps works for BC and other modes where games are cross gen. If the top system has extra horsepower, then lets open up the framerate for competitive games. So long as we're not losing the eye candy option as a result, giving us more options is always welcome.
