Here are a few Helldiver 2 tips for Xbros who are soon about to join the fight.
FACTIONS & FIGHTING
You can get the following items while playing Helldivers 2:
In this section, I should also mention specify what a warbond is. Every month or so, Arrowhead releases a new "Warbond", which introduces new weapons, armor suits, armor passives, emotes, throwables, cosmetic patterns, stratagems, and more.
You need 1,000 Super Credits to unlock the Warbond (which, again, you can get via farming or buying the currency with $$). Once you've unlocked the Warbond, you will need to spend Warbond Medals to unlock each item.
This is the trailer for the latest Warbond. The Warp Pack is pretty cool!
HOW TO FARM SUPER CREDITS
I've farmed more than 10,000 Super Credits so far. The game is pretty generous. Here is the best way to do this quickly and efficiently.

HOW TO COLLECT SAMPLES
So if you want to find Super Samples, start/join a game that is difficulty 6 or above and look for this Dildo Rock. Super Samples will always be at its base. (you can actually see the 2 silver blobs in the above image).
I may have missed other stuff, so let me know. Happy to help and answer specific questions that you may have.
Cheers.

FACTIONS & FIGHTING
- There are 3 factions we're fighting against: Terminids (bugs), Automatons (robots), and Illuminates (fuckin' squids or something). You can fight whoever you want to fight.
- Each faction fights differently and demands a different playstyle.
- Terminids overwhelm with speed and number. You need more mobility fighting against them. You may also require more ammo here because of their sheer number.
- Automatons are slow but have near-perfect range attacks. You need more armor and defense here as any stray bullet or rocket could end you. You need better aim than ammo here.
- Illuminate are good at both: the Voteless zombies overwhelm you with numbers, while the Overseers push you with ranged attacks. You need to find a good balance here.
- The HQ sends Major Orders (MO) and Personal Orders (PO).
- As the name suggests, Personal Orders are ... personal, e.g., "complete 6 side-objectives" or "extract with 5 rare samples" or "successfully extract 3 times against Terminids". These are time-limited (24 hours) and then referesh every day. Successfully completing them reward you 15 Warbond Medals. (more on that later).
- Major Orders are objectives that require the entire community. We get 7 days to complete a Major Order, and completing these moves the story forward. Finishing them successfully reward 50 Warbond Medals.
You can get the following items while playing Helldivers 2:
- Requisition Slips - Think of them as money. You find them during the missions and use these to unlock Ship Modules (ship upgrades), Stratagems (Cool ship weapons that go boom!), and Weapon Customizations (gun grips, reticals, scopes, etc.)
- Samples - There are 3 types of samples: common samples (green), rare samples (orange), and super samples (pink). You need them (and LOTS of them) to upgrade Ship Modules (along with Requisition Slips). You'll find samples during missions. More on this later.
- Warbond Medals - You need them to unlock new weapons, armor suits, throwables, boosters (think of them as passive team-wide perks), etc. You find these during missions as well as by completing Personal and Major Orders. At the start, you will need a LOT of them if you want to unlock all the content the game has to offer.
- Super Credits - This is the in-game premium currency that you exchange for micro-transactions. The good news is that you don't have to buy them in the store. You can also find them (relatively easily) during the missions. I'll tell you more on how to farm them easily later in this post.
In this section, I should also mention specify what a warbond is. Every month or so, Arrowhead releases a new "Warbond", which introduces new weapons, armor suits, armor passives, emotes, throwables, cosmetic patterns, stratagems, and more.

HOW TO FARM SUPER CREDITS
I've farmed more than 10,000 Super Credits so far. The game is pretty generous. Here is the best way to do this quickly and efficiently.
- Do it against the Automatons.
- Get the Scout Passive armor suit. Pick the Light Armor so you can run faster and for longer.
- Pick the easiest, level 1 difficulty (trivial difficulty).
- Pick a planet that is essentially as flat as possible: no mountains, rivers, trees, etc. This makes it easy to view and traverse.
- Pick the following loadout: The Anti-Material Rifle (for opening the caches without exploding nearby explosives), The Warp Pack (from the Control Group), the FRV Jeep (for faster travel), and a Machine Gun Sentry (for taking care of enemies that are chasing you). For newbies who don't have access to The Warp Pack, you can pick the Jet Pack for faster travel.
Other Tips for Farming:
- Start a mission. Then, once you land, quit it. And go back to your ship.
- Then, start a 2nd mission. And start farming this time.
- Why? Because there is a bug right now that in your first mission, you cannot see the POIs (where all the Super Credits or Medals could be) if you hover over your map. But that gets resolved in your 2nd match. So why not just start there.
- To explain it a bit more, if you open your mini-map, you can hover over places to see if there is a POI. If there is one, your cursor would change, and it would say "Minor Place of Interest". Put a pin on that, visit the place, scavenge it, find another place, rinse and repeat.
- A POI will be a "diamond" sign on the mini-map. It means there are samples there.
- Once you've collected the samples, the diamond sign will change to a "pin" type sign. That means there are no samples there.
- Note that the POI only tracks samples. So if there are any samples, you will see a diamond sign even if you've collected everything else. Similarly, if there is no sample at a location, you won't see it even if it has other stuff.
- Now, the most important stuff. Once you clear all POIs, just leave the mission if you're farming. No need to spend time completing the objective and then waiting for ~2 minutes to extract. This way, you will be able to clear maps within 3-5 minutes.
- Note - If you're farming with others, make sure that you DO NOT complete the objective. Because if you do, the squad leader will not be able to go back to the ship with each squad member without extracting. It will ruin the whole team.
OTHER GENERAL TIPS:
- All the stuff in the game is shared: samples, super credits, medals, etc. So don't worry about who is picking what. Every team member gets all the stuff.
- You only need to successfully extract for samples and XP. Everything else - requisition slips, medals, super credits, etc. - get added to your account the moment you pick them. You don't have to complete the objective or extract for them.
- Stick with your team as much as possible.
- You can call the Extraction if others are finishing the objectives. It takes ~2 minutes to come. But DO NOT sit in the Pelican. Because then everybody else will only have 20 seconds to do so, or they will be left behind.
- If you're calling the Extraction beforehand, let your teammates know that you'll be waiting for them. So they don't think you're ditching them and kick you right before the mission ends.
- If you call the Extraction and go too far from the extraction zone, the Pelican won't land and will just go back.
HOW TO COLLECT SAMPLES
- You find common samples on whatever difficulty you play at.
- Rare samples can only be found from difficulty 4 onward.
- Super samples can only be found from difficulty 6 onward.
- The higher the difficulty, the more samples available.
- Most experienced players won't bother picking up samples (because they have upgraded everything and don't need anymore samples). When the mission starts, request them to pick any samples they see because you're new. Most will be happy to help and start picking. And as I said earlier, one person picks something, everybody gets it.
- As mentioned earlier, samples are only added to your account if you successfully extract with them. So take good care of the samples you (or others) pick. If you/they die, remember to pick them up again. Extract with these.
- Samples can be found scattered around the map. Common and Rare samples can be easily found around POIs and side-objectives. Super Samples won't be there.
- Super Samples can only be found against this particular rock formation, which I call "The Dildo Rock" because ... come on, just see it.

So if you want to find Super Samples, start/join a game that is difficulty 6 or above and look for this Dildo Rock. Super Samples will always be at its base. (you can actually see the 2 silver blobs in the above image).
