LectureMaster

Or is it just one of Adam's balls in my throat?
Announced on their official Chinese channel on Bilibili, together with Chinese Voiceover. I imagine more info will follow soon.

Oh thats great, I was literally about to jump in with flatmate. Hopefully much better IQ in the 60fps mode (and actually 60fps more of the time). Both modes were disappointing for obvious reasons.

Only negative is my flatmate is having issues on PC with his controller causing stutter, annoying af. I'll give him one of my Dualsenses if its still an issue by the time this Pro patch drops, though he may balk at the analogue stick placement and refuse to play with it anyway cause hes a fanny.

I know the cause of this, it's due to a recent redistributable that Microsoft saw fit to force on people for no apparent reason. Tell your friend to go to add/remove programs and search for Microsoft GameInput in the list. Delete it. Problem solved.

He can even do this mid game and he'll see it literally fix the stutter as he does it (ignore the warning prompts).

It'll reinstall itself in a couple of days but it takes seconds to just delete it again. If he wants to stop this part happening ask me again about it here and I'll tell you how.

Pretty inexcusable for them to not support Pro and PC technologies fully yet.
With the success they have and the income from the credits they could invest in that area.

On higher settings it's still going to dip under 60fps when it all kicks off, there's no way around it. Even the newer gen zen 3 chips are at full utilisation with this game if you're in a full squad on difficulty 8+.

I think it's because they're using some antiquated Autodesk engine so changes and support for things are difficult.

Such a wait - A Sony 1st party. Hilarious treatment, wtf is happening
First up, while Helldivers 2 is a Sony-owned IP, Arrowhead aren't a first-party studio.

Helldivers 2 has actually been enhanced for PS5 Pro for some time. It renders at 1440p in performance mode against 1080p on PS5.

But because it just leverages the additional processing power, rather than using any PS5 Pro specific hardware features (such as PSSR) it doesn't get the "PS5 Pro Enhanced" label on PS Store.

Hope that clears things up for you.

Just why?
The game is fun but has some of the oldest and copy & paste assets. A pro update is not really needed, as the fun is the gameplay. No need to a patch that everything looks even worse because of smearing and artifacts.

This game can look incredible on max settings.

Is that just brute force on dynamic rez or a specific version created?

Bit too late for me, uninstalled it 2 months ago and not planning on looking back for the foreseeable future. The horrendous performance was one of the main reasons - it had an unofficial Pro support and the performance was real good in the early stages, but it just went off the rails with the last 2 bigger updates.

Already looks fantastic with the 1440/60 it does now in performance mode when they fixed the bug.

Turn off depth of field
Turn down motion blur to no more than 25
And turn down the screen shake effect to 'low'

Would like something AI scalable, but their engine is dated and heavily modified from the original game and I don't think it plays nice with DLSS, etc.. (at least that was what was said in the past, could be BS)

Wanting cross-progression between the platforms. Only thing holding me back from double-dipping on the PC since I was already way too far along on the console version and warbond purchases.

If you're starting from a high enough base res the engine's native upscaling tech is remarkably clean and effective. I don't see jaggies. But yeah, DLSS or FSR4 it ain't.

The game was running like shit on all platforms, even brute forced PCs with those recent updates. The issues stemmed from bugs and the like more so than hardware related issues, since it ran better prior.

Rumor has it the main devs whom built the game have been moved over to their new project and there were new hires that were placed on bug fixing and updates.

We shall see how this all impacts since the CEO has been getting more involved and vocal.
