I hate you GAF.

Real box set. The cheaper 6-disc single-case version, not the big ass Box of War (which goes for about $100+).GDJustin said:Are we talking a real box set, or HK ripoff? It's hard to tell, often...
GDJustin said:I just bought Now and Then, Here and There sealed for $25. It wasn't the most suggested anime in this topic, but it certainly was the cheapest, which is what made me pick it.

It seems like every place online is overpricing it ($70-80), but you can find it at, say, Best Buy for around $50 or so.
GDJustin said:I didn't think it was bad, but I wasn't particularly impressed either. I wouldn't really suggest it to someone else or urge others to check it out, like I have Cowboy Bebop.
So yeah... given that, does someone have any new suggestions (or want to single out something previously suggested), that might feature a little more impressive action sequences, while not really insulting the intelligence of the viewer? I thought Bebop struck the right balance, in that regard. Again, I can't stress this enough, it DOESN'T just need to be all fights and explosions... I'd like what I see next to have some meat to it, while just being a little more "fun" than Now and Then was... it was pretty freakin heavy.
I've also been thinking about One Piece, b/c I've been really digging the newfound "pirate" pop-cultute renaisaissance... I eat that shit up. Does it have any official releases?
GDJustin said:I'm not averse to subtitles... loves kung fu hustle, etc., but given a choice I choose to listen to english audioSo is there any one piece fandubs? or is it all fansubs?

GDJustin said:I've never watched anything subtitled, because all the voice acting that those REALLY into anime bitch about as being horrible and butchering everything etc. have never bothered me at all.

Really. The dub is horrible, they've skipped like 40 of the first 75 episodes, it's completely butchered the charm of OP.Wraith said:And for the love of all that is holy, do not watch the One Piece English dub that's put out by fox. It can hardly even be called the same show.
