So I took this stats class, and a single quiz fucked me over, giving me a D in the class. Now, I've heard legends about students being able to BS their way to a better grade, so I'm curious if you guys have any ideas. I emailed her saying that I wanted to talk about my grade, and this is what she sent me back.

You earned a 49% on your quizzes (60% of your final grade), 75% on your
final (25% of your final grade) and 90% of the group project (15% of your
final grade). That works out to an average of 62%. The lowest C is a 67%.

I know you feel that you understand the concepts from 302. However, you have
not demonstrated that to me on any of the individual assessments.

Does that ever actually work? I guess I've never heard of someone actually being successful at that.

For the record, she's done a shitload of things that have been against university policy. And for the final we had to write a paper regarding a research hypothesis in a journal article. I e-mailed the guy who wrote it, and he said, "I don't recall that article having a testable hypothesis!".

This this... say for the quiz you fucked up on.. That you understood all the concepts just that you misread or interpreted the quiz questions wrong.

Or say for one particular quiz you came late and could not finish it on time?
