I'm trying to snag a GCN to hook up to my monitor(crt). Problem is, after doing some searching, I realized that all GCNs after May 2003(?) no longer have digital AV out for component cables. I remember hearing, vaguely, something about this on GAF ages ago.

Anyway, I've found what I think is a DOL-001 model on ebay. DOL-001 being the model of cubes that have component output. The guy says it's a DOL-001 model, but the cube is black. I thought DOL-001 models were all indigo. So the question is do DOL-001 black cubes exist?

They do. I've got one. The DOL-001 models actually come in all three Indigo, Jet and Platinum. It's just a matter of finding them.

of course they exist. gamecube launched in black and purple. there are platinum cubes with component out too. and all sorts of ugly colors in japan. like "dog turd," or whatever they call the pungently orange one.

Umm, I don't know the model I have but it's black and it has component outputs.

Indigo DOL-001s seem more common on eBay. I've only found one black one and haven't seen any platinum ones at all. =/

I'd love to get a platinum one myself. Too bad they're so hard to come by.
