I've never come across this before, and it's probably something stupid I overlooked.

See the grey spots in the pic? Before I copy+paste it into this document, those grey spots aren't there. It's not the layer above it that has it, it's the pic itself that has those grey spots. Only when I paste it into the document does it show up.

It's quite irritating and I don't know why it's happening. Can anyone give me a heads up?? =/

It's a screenshot of the original PSD file. I haven't saved it into any other image format yet. Unedited jpg image from digital camera >> copy-paste into psd >> grey spots >=/

Is the picture from the digital camera already saved, or are you copying it from the camera? If you're trying to copy it from the camera, try saving onto your pc first.

When you open the image in paint, it's not there either, right?

Maybe you can try C&Ping from paint?

I'm on a limb here.

thanks for the help...

The problem's semi-fixed... if I close the PSD file and open it again, the spots are gone. Attempting to paste in another picture, though, it happens again. I guess this must be my program/comp? argh.

What happens when you drag the image into PS or just open it in PS? Also, you might wanna try rebooting your computer. When i have the occasional odd problem occur in PS (and other apps) a reboot usually fixes it. Also try moving your PS scratch disk to another drive(s), other than the drive the program resides on.

Are the grey spots transparent (original psd containing an alpha channel perhaps?)?

Try placing a black / dark green (whichever looks best) layer behind it before saving to .jpg.
