my friend wants to buy that, but he said that its no longer available for US, and the difference between the US and PAL versions is the CD only.


is there any way that he could get the kit? lets say UK kit and US CD?

I do not think he could do that. My best advice would be to go e-bay-ing for an used kit.

If anything else fails he can try to get the UK kit and using a swap method convince it to install from the wrong region DVD.

After-that he needs to press SELECT+L1 (or R1 forgot which) at next PS2Linux boot so that it sets the GS in NTSC mode.

I'm thinking about getting rid of my US one - it actually hasn't been used (long story).
