* Sun Block
* Insect repellant (one volunteer said she likes Sun & Bug by Coppertone
Its an insect repellant & sun block all in one. Avon skin so soft was also recommended as an insect repellant. But it does not have sunscreen properties.)

* Personal First Aid Kit: (should include a one months supply of any prescription or over the counter medications you must take regularly, including vitamins. Other items to include are: assorted sizes of Band-aids, a roll each of bandages & tape, wound cleanser packets, antibiotic ointment, aspirin, (good to have on hand for headaches, and also if you suspect the onset of a heart attack) Anti Diarrhea Medication, Antacid, Cold Medicine, Cough Medicine (capsules are easier & lighter to pack), Eye Drops, Benedryl Antihistamine (These will lessen an allergic reaction of an insect bite or bee sting. Also useful to know the medication in Benedryl is the SAME ingredient that is in Sominex sleeping pills. Dont take when you will need to drive or be alert
but good to know if you have a bad night & absolutely cant sleep!), Vitamin E capsules (This is my own personal suggestion. I have found that Vitamin E is a miracle worker for burns-cuts-sprains-contusions, etc. Just break open a capsule & apply like a salve. It even takes the itch out of MOSQUITO BITES! I buy the cheap Trader Joe Vitamin E with the Orange label. Approx $3-$4.)

* Pens
* Zip-loc Plastic Bags (assorted sizes, from snack sized to gallon size. To be safe from spills & water; you should pack EVERYTHING in plastic bags!)
