Let me know when this game releases for PlayStation. In a year or 10.Just like Ghostwire Tokyo and Deathloop getting 1 year exclusivity on PlayStation. Don't be a hypocrite.

Well Bethesda openly said they will continue producing and controlling their properties as normal as in seperate from MS... so no I don't they did anything like that. When the game was most likely Greenlit in 2017...So you don't think Microsoft saw this game back in 2020 during the pre-acqusition process? This game was probably in pre- development then and Microsoft had to approve continue development.
$7.5 billion should tell you Microsoft has final say so. Also its the XBox and Bethesda showcase. Both subsidiaries of Microsoft.Well Bethesda openly said they will continue producing and controlling their properties as normal as in seperate from MS... so no I don't they did anything like that. The giveaway being that every showcase so far is still presented As a MS + Bethesda showcase

I mean I don't know what else to tell you. Bethesda themselves have told you how it works. We can play imaginationland rules if you want but as of right now they say they still operate as a seperate entity within Microsoft and they had greenlit the project in 2017.$7.5 billion should tell you Microsoft has final say so. What's more unbelievable is how much I found it boring. I felt like it was a fairly uninteresting rhythm game (sort of) wrapped in a boring 3D platformer. I finished the first level and uninstalled it. And take that from someone who loves every rhythm game there is. You focus so much on hitting the beats that you don't really take the time to actually enjoy much of anything else. Not to mention the 3D platforming is awful.
What's even more unbelievable is that doubtless I'm in the minority in this opinion.
You don't have to tell me anything. I know the definition of ownership. Microsoft announced their plan to acquire Bethesda/Zenimax in September of 2020. The trademark for the name HiFi Rush was issued in December of 2020. Microsoft complete the acquisition in March on 2021.I mean I don't know what else to tell you. Bethesda themselves have told you how it works. There's is no proof or evidence of any kind that MS first party had anything to do with this projects inception or development.
Well, I really hated it, so, the last part of your sentence is true. This is such an awful take and just dripping with disdain.

Regardless of when initial development may have started the fact is Zenimax, Bethesda, Tango Gameworks, and therefore HiFi Rush are Microsoft properties.
Or instead of being a console warrior.Just do what I'm electing to do and just ignore anyone who tries to push that idiotic narrative.
Even on a common sense level; if these weren't Microsoft products, why put forth such an effort to dicredit Microsoft instead of simply enjoying the game(s) on those "monster rigs" all the Sony diehards said they'd play Xbox exclusives on?
Let the haters hate.

Well the difference is that Matt booty would be sitting In the meeting room (or whoever is heading up their first party studios these days) with essentially MS input on whether it's a good idea for a game to be greenlit.Exactly, it doesn't really matter. Microsoft owns Bethesda and made the deal to allow them control over their studios and IP.
Just, like if bungie makes an actual real banger of a game it will be down to bungie and not Sony.
In both instances MS and Sony would receive some level of praise, which is fine. They own them.
Ultimately, who cares.
You're asking for a game that Microsoft has green lit but then say Microsoft can't green light Bethesda games becuase they trust Bethesda to manage their own studios and process, so I am not 100 percent sure of what you are asking for?

I just want to see what MS strategy is with all these publishers they are buying and all I'm saying is we have yet to see something where MS was in from the ground up. Instead we've just seen games where they've taken over as a publisher.
I definitely wouldn't give anything bungie releases in the next 2-3 years towards sonys credit as well.
Holy shit GaF can be breathtaking sometimes...smhI mean I don't know what else to tell you. Bethesda themselves have told you how it works. Not that it matters but rarely does a pitch get the greenlight and start pre production in anything back to back. At the end of the day, Tango is owned by Microsoft. Microsoft had final say. It's done, my boy! Go play it! Stop this warrior crap. It's exhausting.
TF? How'd you know I have a boat??whatever floats your boat big boy
it did

We can wait to see what Phil's plans are since we have yet to see a game that has been greenlit by MS themselves since they gobbled up these studios.
So what I am interested In. As someone who owns and plays MS game studio titles. Is what does Phil want his brand to be seen as. The rpg box. The gamepass box with smaller pentiment style games. But we have yet to see a game that was created and started under MS tutelage yet from their new studios.
Well Bethesda openly said they will continue producing and controlling their properties as normal as in seperate from MS... so no I don't they did anything like that. When the game was most likely Greenlit in 2017...

Whatever floats your boat smaller boyPost-acquisition, everything Bethesda now reports to Spencer and Microsoft...and they retain complete control over funding decisions and resource allocation. They could easily have terminated development on this game...especially if they wanted to focus on AAA output (e.g an Evil Within title)
That's 'Xbox + Bethesda', not 'MS + Bethesda'. Bethesda isn't being run as a separate company from Microsoft. That would be ridiculous. They're being run as a separate line of business from Xbox Game Studios.
So this was probably gonna be multiplatform until Phil removed it from PlayStation in his mission to give players more ways to play.
until Phil said they shouldn't.

Decent amount of salt building on GAF this last week. I expect a lot more in the coming 12 months.
they became a first party studio so the conversation probably never came up.
"Redfall delayed to 2027"
"Starfield delayed to 3017"
Expecting these threads soon too.
Don't worry. If id is making Quake reboot people around here will claim that it is not Microsoft's game because Doom Eternal was released in march of 2020 and they were developing next game for whole 6 months before buyout"Redfall began development in 2017"

It's been 2 years and some change since that's happened. You'd think it would be a given that unless it was announced previously, their future games will by default by console exclusive.
Nope they never had designated a console. It started as very barebones just the director and a programmer working out the rhythm based combat without any graphical assets. The director stated that by the time they were acquired, they weren't far enough to consider console releasing and that it obviously made that decision for him. He literally stated that there never was a playstation versionSo this was probably gonna be multiplatform until Phil removed it from PlayStation in his mission to give players more ways to play.

Stella Blade literally had gameplay trailers saying it's coming to Xbox. Less people cry about that than a game being in development for 1 month prior to becoming a full first party studio. There was much a chance of this being on ps5 as returnal was on xbox imo.
Take that as you will.

Sony owns the Returnal IP and they funded it as far as I am aware. This was in development long before the acquisition, if that didn't happen this would have been multiplat though it doesn't really matter now. There was much a chance of this being on ps5 as returnal was on xbox imo.

Wait what? Is that not a timed exclusive?Stella Blade literally had gameplay trailers saying it's coming to Xbox. Less people cry about that than a game being in development for 1 month prior to becoming a full first party studio.
I doubt it. Seems like Sony is publishing it now, like Rise of the Ronin.Sony owns the Returnal IP and they funded it as far as I am aware. This was in development long before the acquisition, if that didn't happen this would have been multiplat though it doesn't really matter now.

Oh, that could be just for the PS5 version. I think it's a timed one, though could be completely wrongI doubt it. Seems like Sony is publishing it now, like Rise of the Ronin.

Evil MS denying gamers since 2020. cunts.Yes, but obviously it would have been on PS5. There would have been no reason for them not to do that.
And it's not like it was just a super early prototype when they were acquired if development started in 2017.
Evil MS denying gamers since 2020. cunts.
They never said that. Just get over the stupid PR speak. They are of course trying to get exclusives, just like their rival does.I understand why they're doing it, Sony would be doing the same (if they had the ability to purchase half the industry). The big thing that rubs me the wrong way is how MS/Phil keep talking about how their goal is not to take games away from PlayStation players, but then they keep doing exactly that.
