Highguard Shutting Down

Arsic

Loves his juicy stink trail scent

Today we're sharing difficult news. We have made the decision to permanently shut down Highguard on March 12.
Since launch, more than 2 million players stepped into Highguard's world. You shared feedback, created content, and many believed in what we were building. For that, we are deeply grateful.
Despite the passion and hard work of our team, we have not been able to build a sustainable player base to support the game long term. Servers will remain online until March 12th. We hope you'll jump in with us one more time to show your support and get those final great matches in while we still can.
The team is excited to release one final game update to enjoy in the remaining life of the game. We'll be adding a new Warden, a new weapon, account level progression, and skill trees! Full patch notes are coming, and we're targeting tonight or tomorrow morning for patch release.
From all of us at Wildlight, thank you for playing, for supporting us, and for being part of Highguard's story.

Link is broken. But maybe this link works. Same info as Arsic pasted.

Ding Ding Ding...... in the shut down poll. ANyone who predicted 2 months won. HG lasted about 1.5 months.

Edit: I'm an idiot. The link does work, but dont press the blue link part. Click somewhere else in the tweet.

lmao does that mean that they took down their own farewell post? That'd fit with the extreme thin skinned coward behaviour they've shown on social media this entire time.

What a wild ride this was. From the ridiculous reveal, the brutal reaction, the echo chamber devs, the terrible player numbers, devs lashing out on social media; this game had it all.

Godspeed, Highguard.

I never understood why we needed to hate this game, but I also never understood why we needed to play it in the first place, so...
I'm going to just reiterate what I said before; Geoff poisoned the well implying he was about to reveal a spiritual successor to Titanfall and it was a F2P hero shooter, like we really need another one of those, and it soured a lot of people instantly.

Devs may need to start considering having a good SP campaign alongside MP in future.

Either that or sell two games (SP/MP) and not have all eggs on MP to survive.
