Hillary Clinton is ready to join the resistance

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
She voted to send us to Iraq. She voted against gay marriage.

Obama opposed gay marriage as well. Most politicians did. Most people also made a turn on that once they realized it was coming no matter what. I'd rather she actually change her mind on something like that than doubling down on insanity like the right. She can hold the L for the Iraq War but that was both parties dropping the ball there in my opinion, not just Hillary.

This is a mistake and she should stay away. People will re-elect Trump out of pure spite for her family.

I mean after this announcement will people even know or care? She's not going to be in the limelight. Well that's what the article says. I don't think it effects anything a year or two years down the road.

I can understand the sting of losing is still there, but to discount over 30 years of service to the Democratic party is become extremely frustrating to read day in and day out.
It's no better than wanting to hand the reigns of the part over to someone who makes it a point to note he's not part of the party.

No he didn't

I honestly don't think America can come back when I see reactions like these

Would help if someone would just put THIS on the OP:

To everyone that is about to say "go away Hillary"

It says right in the OP that she does NOT plan to be some visible face of the democrats, but that instead she will do the one thing she is VERY good at: Fund Raising for Dems.

And it says that these funds she will raise will go towards local grassroots efforts. AKA HILLARY PLANS TO HELP MAKE SURE WE HAVE THE MONEY FOR A 50 STATE STRATEGY.

This is good. Very good. I said months before that Hillary is good at one thing more than anyone else and that's fundraising.

when did she vote against gay marriage

I guess it wasn't a vote but she did make the statement that marriage is between a man and a woman.

Obama opposed gay marriage as well. Most politicians did. Most people also made a turn on that once they realized it was coming no matter what. I'd rather she actually change her mind on something like that than doubling down on insanity like the right. The bolded is my fucking problem with her. I hate politics BTW and am aware it is just a shell game to keep us distracted anyways. She (and as you said many) doesn't change her mind because she realizes she was wrong, she changes her mind once the majority opinion has shifted so that she can maintain her presence.

I realize people change and sure hope her change was genuine but I don't believe it is and never will. Maybe if I had an opportunity to sit down with her on a human level I would change my opinion but that isn't happening either.

Did anyone even read the article? She's not going to be publicly facing, she's just raising money and organizing grassroots

What does this even have to do with the Democratic party...
I mean as long as it doesn't I don't have any problems (title is a bit click baity)

This sounds promising and I'm sure she and dean are aware of what would be an appropriate role that aims to help without being "BACK, TO LEAD THE RESISTANCE!!1!1!"

Yeah, you're right. The sting is still there. I wonder if that sting will ever go away? She lost an election that honestly should have been a slam dunk

So, what I don't get is that people often talk about how Hillary got cocky and took the election for granted, but also turn around and say that the election should have been a slam dunk/Trump should have been easily beaten. Same with the whole "pied piper" strategy

Not you specifically, but it's something I see a lot that makes no sense.

The title was invented by the OP

Looks like the primary is being re-litigated again, right on time!

Please guys, most Bernie voters turned out for Clinton in the general anyway. This isn't nearly as awful of a picture as some are trying to paint it. Help with grassroots funding campaigns are going to be needed. We can't be the "only Bernie" show. The more resources we have, the better.

Leave now and never come back.

Good

And if any "democrats" or people from the "left"' whine and bitch, fuck off and join the alt-left or something. You were never with the movement in the first place

Why do centrists love saying "alt-left".

So weird.

I mean the title of the thread literally says Join, not lead or take over.

You know what, sure, I can't think of a way this hurts. This is the safest way for her to return to American politics. Yeah. Money for feet on the ground is always good. Can we not make this into a fucking thing?

When you're a Berniebro any mention of Hillary that isn't followed by her wallowing in depression hurts

Will a left that only embraced her for being the only option accept her back now that they don't HAVE to?

I mean, i saw a lot of dems in the net speak of her like she was super satan combined with hitler while she was fighting for the nomination and only started to pretend to be okay with her after she won it.

Honestly Hillary should retire I believe it's time. She lost the propaganda war most Americans straight up don't like her. The democratic party needs to figure shit out their selves.

The fact that Hillary wants to continue fighting and pushing forward, even after the way America treated her -- such as the ignorant people in this very thread -- is simply more proof that she is legitimately a good person who actually wants to help this country be better.

She tried to do that in 2016. Instead, half of the voters decided to go with a man who was on video admitting to sexual assault.

Big surprise some people on the "left" have more resistance to her than the actual thing they are supposedly resisting.

Hillary could be contributing 1 million dollars to each of the most progressive candidates for Congress and people would still be calling for her to fuck off. Way to cut your nose to spit your face.

More power to her, and hope it helps the country.

She did fuck all while terrible shit continued happen and acts like she is a huge ally to members of marginalized groups like myself.

Not really, no. I would have said and did say this even before the election ended.

So wait, even when she's doing something, she's trying to do "fuck all"?

Ok...

GAF brings out the same talking points in every single Hillary thread, and every time the thread is inevitably locked, nobody ever changes their mind.

Once again not a single lesson learn for some people.

This is fantastic stiff ,more which we need.

Can you just stay away? You already did enough damage to this party and country.
Please tell us what have you done for the Democratic party?

We need this stuff but people for some reason want to act this way it stupid.

Clinton I'm going to give money and raise money for grassroots activists to have the resources they need to fight the good fight.

Weirdos: No you need to keep all your money so every once and awhile we can point at how you're doing nothing but keeping all your money and hate you even more for your greed

My man, what is the point getting politicians to change their stances and minds on issues like gay marriage, if when they do actually get on your side and take the public action to prove it and do good for the cause, you won't let it count? That's the opposite of being an effective supporter of change

The election should have been a slam dunk but I think she got too complacent with the idea that it was a slam dunk, if that makes sense. I think a more focused campaign would have buried Trump. I honestly don't hate Hillary, in fact I like her and thought she would have made a good president (I voted for her). I just wonder if the L she took from Trump is going to follow her wherever she goes now.

Yeah, we should turn down money desperately needed for grassroots on the left for some garbage purity tests.

Sound plan.

GAF brings out the same talking points in every single Hillary thread, and every time the thread is inevitably locked, nobody ever changes their mind.

Both sides make ridiculous strawmen and climb up on a very very high horse.

Lots of young leftists have bought into the GOP anti-Hilary rhetoric, just like lots of moderate dems have bought into the right's anti-leftist rhetoric.

That being said at least one side is willing to acknowledge that there is an actual division instead of pretending the other side is only loons.
