One piece regular has huge characters (most characters aside from main ones are at least 7 feet tall)
Multiple unique races like Fishmen.
And finally insane powers. Not to mention the guy who holds a third sword in his mouth and the dude who only kicks.

Oh god...this might actually happenCan we combine it with the Naruto movie and make it a cinematic universe?
Let's throw DB evolution in there too.
Clearly the genesis of the project was someone saw the manga sales and didn't think much beyond that.http://www.oricon.co.jp/news/2094481/full/

TBH guys this project could very well go into development hell...or be good or bad.
This news is legitimately depressing

There's apparently a comment in this article from Oda saying they've been trying to get something like this off the ground for 3 years. Can you confirm that?
Yep, they also announced the Cowboy Bebop live action series as a joint venture with ITV. I have a feeling neither one will get off the ground.
Is it wrong to hope for the former?
At least Sanji can't be a horrible pervert in this compare to the manga.
They can't possible do Punk Hazard stuff with him.
I'm imagining this now and just laughing my ass offI mean, honestly, a lot of this isn't impossible.
-Chopper will spend 99% of his time in his "hybrid" form, which will basically be a person with makeup/fur/etc on their face.

I don't get the point of this at all, certain manga can work being made into a live action show like deathnote, not one piece, just no it doesn't work....only like certain fights like Zoro or Sanji ones would even work...and those are stretching it.
So will they use Zolo or Zoro?
