I seem to have a Problem.
I bought the full experience on release and have been able to download and play the Paris and Sapienza mission without problems.
The game has been updated on steam and I can see the Marrakesh Mission in my game but it's saying that I don't own it and if I wanted to buy it ?
Steam only gives me the option to buy it, not download it ?
Am I missing something here ?
Or do I have to wait until it unlocks for me ?

I had that with sapienza, it simply means it's not unlocked, yet

Every new patch/episode = New issues.

a) a previously 'dealable' shadow/lighting bug has become impossible because the bazarre is FILLED with some kind of lighting thing that absolutely decimates me. I need to figure out a fix for this

I feel like that happened with Sapienza, too, except the patch that showed it came a couple days before the actual mission.
That's how US PSN rolls, unless they pushed for a midnight release this was always going to happen.
Wait 8 or so hours and it should be settled.

Must have been an issue while they were rolling out updates, I have just the full game version and I can play Episode 3 after it downloaded a 7 gig update.
I tried switching to DX12 version and it still seems pretty wonky though, stuck at 24 fps and having screen stutter issues when I alt-tab. Switching back to DX11 seems fine, I've played through episodes 1-2 with DX11 version.
One bad thing, the main menus with DX11 seem FPS uncapped, I am getting 250+ fps on a 970 whereas before I thought it was capped at 60. No problems in actual missions though, 45-60 fps but I'd be worried about GPU overheating if someone left the game at the main menu.
Marrakesh looks freaking amazing so far.

Which ones? the rubber duck and the extra items? those i think were preorder bonus. The chapters are obviously the chapters that are out so far.

Yeah, those are the pre-order bonuses. Honestly, I don't use any of them except the duck, and even then not that often. Not missing too much.
Now Steam is downloading a 3.8 GB patch after the 3.5 one. I mean, what the hell, IO doesn't even know how to properly patch the game, did they screw something?
Was the first 3.5 download an old build or what?

Got 'em both. The shadows problem was driving me crazy. Managed to get the Banker alone but the shadows were completely going nuts in the school and I chose a poor hiding spot, so he walked right on top of me basically forcing me to toss a screwdriver in his eye and dive down a hole, luckily basically right where I had left an earlier disguise so I hightailed it out of there. Not the most elegant of kills, but it worked.
Now to see if these beta drivers fix the fucking shadows...

The 3.5 one was the general patch for everyone, the 3.8 is the actual episode.

Same here, with a 970 I reached something like 500 fps in the menu, also reported here and I think it's the reason my gpu, only with this game, rwaches 80c. If you check Steam community hub, a lot of people reported the problem, of course IO never fixed it.

Is this up for download yet on the PSN US store? I checked a couple hours earlier after I got excited seeing an update being installed. Turned out it must have been a standalone update and not the Episode. Do these download automatically or do you have to go into the PSN store to start the download?

Why on Earth would they do this? I thought devs learned their lesson after the first Assassin's Creed game, where Ubi got crucified for Altair's American accent.

From first impressions, I don't like it as much as Sapienza. Then again, that was a hard level to live up to.
I can understand why you think that. Your options definitely feel more limited, especially in regards to infiltrating the two target areas.

They just don't want to (or plain can't) spend the money on a new set of voice actors for each episode.

Infiltration was hardly the most creative part of Sapienza, was it? You basically get in through the front gate, the cliffside, or the safehouse. Or reverse-infiltrate from the lab or ruins later on.
