Today...we lost one of the good ones. Suddenly I feel less safe in the world. But I will not despair. I know Hitokage is still out there. Watching over us, in his own way, protecting us.

Xzeon...I'm afraid.

I have no idea who does what so can't really pass comment. We should have a page like on other forums where it says who got banned for how long, by who and why.

super afraid.

hito was my guiding light, now i will wander into many dangers, alone in darkness.

I like Mumei, but I am so delighted to have the word cunt back. It is perhaps the most phonetically satisfying word ever created. It is a terse lyrical symphony of enunciated perfection. Two bookending consonants that compliment each other so perfectly, bridged by what is perhaps the most economically pleasant two-letter conjunctive in the English language.

CUNT.

It's like biting into an apple so ripe you have to wipe away the sweet juice that discharged afterward, it packs so much punch.

Your sacrifices were not in vain!

Your sacrifices were not in vein!

Or in vain.

You really love that word. Where I live people pretend it's the worst thing you could ever call a woman. As if they'd never heard the word "unlikable" before.

Didn't have many interactions with Hitokage, but always thought he was good people. Same goes for Mumei. Always enjoy his posts in the monthly book threads and have gotten some quality reading recommendations from him.

Whatever the reasons... Moderation/administration can be a difficult job sometimes. You don't get paid for it (typically) and you're usually there for the community.

Things happen. Disinterest, having different philosophies, doing something bad or plain out being overwhelmed from all corners of your life. All things do eventually come to an end.

Considering the outcomes, it's not something that we should ask, and just celebrate his tenure :)

That's really unfortunate. Hitokage was a really laid-back mod and pretty chill about stuff. I'll miss him.

Whatever his reason might be for stepping down, i wish him the best.

What if Evilore isn't a human, but is really an A.I. that was created as some sort of internet hacking tool that eventually gained sentience as it become more and more complex?

No, you've got it all wrong. He's a 300 year old immortal who's going to travel the globe, challenging Gaffers to a battle. Life or Death. If you defeat him, you inherit the EviLore mantle, account, and passwords. A new EviLore is crowned, the most powerful gaffer proven worthy, and the line remains unbroken, as it has been for the last 800 years.

Of course, if he rings your doorbell, prove yourself worthy, or prepare to be destroyed.

You forgot to mention that the only way for Immortals to kill each other is by beheading.

He's an AI who created the mods so that every six months a new fresh batch of juniors would be created so half of them could be banned. This process has repeated itself an infinite number of times. It is beyond our comprehension.

Hitokage and Bish are the vanguards of our bannings.

If you challenge EviLore, I heard you get struck by lightning because that's how Bish bans you in real life.

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.

And when I am crowned king of all of GAF you will be gifted ultimate power over your own forum.

Hey there's a mod named "White Man"

Not cool man, I feel like I'm being oppressed.

He used to be one of the most hilarious (and articulate) posters back when he was more active. His stories of debauchery were GAF classics. Think SmokyDave plus Salazar, but gay and on some hardcore drugs.

There comes a time in every moderator's life when he finally must moderate himself. Hands in the badge, sizeable payout, and thirty years of moderation immunity posting. We all knew this when we signed up. Not exactly long term planners. Have to close the loop.

Dude spoilers.

You can't expect people to do the same thing forever. There comes a time when you just feel like moving on for whatever reason.
