As a recent Edgar Wright fan this hurts to see.

I hope Marvel has a good replacement. Just about every director they chose in the past has been an inspired choice.

Hopefully it won't be THAT bad. But whoever they get is just going to be sorta dragging whatever this is across the finish line for Marvel now.

Still don't get how you let him work on this film for over 6 years, and shift the direction of ALL YOUR OTHER MOVIES because of that - and then you can't hold onto him when it's time to get the work onscreen.

This would be a huge consolation prize for me. I love Wright and had faith in him making a great movie despite all the crazy changes, but if that was his decision I hope it goes with him.

It always struck me as odd that he wasn't since Marvel been pushign Pym hard lately. If they rework it and he is back in the saddle I would twerk to Happy for 4 hours straight.

They've been developing the movie with Edgar Wright for 8 years, so it seems weird that they would suddenly have different visions. I think Marvel Studios/Disney got tired of waiting.

Considering this was to start filming like, next month, ya, I don't have high hopes for the replacement. The cast was fucking amazing, and Wright was going to make it something special. It can still be alright, but it won't be "the best one yet" anymore.

If you watched Hot Fuzz and The Worlds End and did not think Wright could pull off some awesome action scenes then you are blind.
