six-pack, kevin nash, ddp

I thought ddp had a career-ending thing so that's why he wasn't in WWF...

damn, I wish I had heard about this thing earlier, I didn't know it actually had big names...

big surprise seeing Nash and syxx there, but also DDP and konan...

it's nice seeing former enemies together too (nash/syxx & DDP)...

I thought TNA was a bunch of no-names, but I guess not, just heard about it yesterday pretty much, before I'd heard it mentioned but never payed attention cause I thought it would be crappy wrestlers...

You like me, you really really like me!
Ummm, the names you listed ARE crappy wrestlers and are WAY past their prime.
You should be watching TNA for someone like AJ Styles, not Syxx Pac or Kevin "AHH MY QUAD" Nash.

TNA indeeds rocks. I'm watching it right now.

But come on... DDP and Nash isn't the reason TNA is so great. If anything good has come from them, they have been the source of a ton of great jokes since they showed back up in TNA.

Did you watch Destination-X? After 10+ minutes of cracking jokes on Nash he falls on his fat ass trying to do a power bomb at the end of the match. Then he tries to act all suave resting against the ropes! Lol, how many power bombs has this lazy fat fuck done in his career? It's practically the only move he knows besides punches and kicks. And he falls on his ass... The whole room almost died laughing. Speaking of his fat ass. You can throw the Big Sexy gimmick, the only thing he ever had going for him, out the window. He has never had wrestling skill, or even put forth any effort in a match. Too bad they had to draw some big names (how he ever became one is a mystery) to TNA to get ratings.

A.J. Styles is the fucking man (huge Styles fanboy). Same with Christopher Daniels. Jeff Hardy put on an awesome match at Destination-X, so I'm digging him again too. Sabin and Big Tilly also.

But anyway, you can blame trash like Nash, DDP etc being in TNA on the fucking stupid wrestling fans. I like to call it Hulk Hogan syndrome. Grab any old ass big name, and throw him in the ring. Fans go fucking crazy if they just stand there *flashback of holgan and ultimate warrior in a sleeper for 20 minutes straight with the crowd going apeshit the whole time*. Anyway, I'm rambling... Yeah.

TNA does rock hard. WWE sucks balls.

i probably have that syndrome...

the reason I becaome a Nitro fan was because of nWo and Hogan, razor ramon, syxx, ted dibiase, etc who were in it...

I'd kill for repeat of the DDP/Macho Man rivalry, but of course that'd be almost impossible considering how it was linked the the wives they had and Elizabeth passed away...

TNA was actually in talks to bring Macho Man in. Apparently one of his demands was that he won the heavyweight title from Jeff Jaret at the next PPV. Yeah, they didn't bring him on. :)

But yeah, check out A.J. Styles and Christopher Daniels. I'm sure you can find a lot of TNA stuff online if you look hard enough *wink wink*. They are crazy good.

Ugh, I thought Destination-X was absolutely terrible. AJ vs. Daniels was okay but everything else was vomit-inducing. Seriously, every single match was gimmicked and I don't think there was a clean win throughout the entire night. That Harris Brothers/Phi Beta Slam (or whatever) was one of the worst matches I've ever seen. Then, the whole night was capped off by that debacle of a main event.

Also, BTW, the did bring in Randy Savage very briefly. IIRC, he ran in at the end of one of the PPVs and then was never seen again.

Small balls, big fun!
I just came from the TV not ten minutes ago. I saw NWA listed on the TV Guide channel and thought I'd check it out.

I saw DDP and X-Pac in a tag match while the announcer talked about Kevin Nash confronting Dusty Rhodes.

You notice that I am no longer in front of the TV.

Really? I actually enjoyed it a lot. The Jeff Hardy vs. Abyss match was suprisingly really good for a pin anywhere match. Hardy took some big bumps and made the match very entertaining. The Ultimate X match was excellent besides Skipper and Daniels blowing one spot (Style's splash off the X tight rope). The Bull Rope match (I hate strap matches) was about as good as it gets for that type of thing also. The Stevens vs. Sabin match was pretty good also.

As for the rest... Yeah, some stuff was pretty bad. Suprisingly most of the bad involved DDP and Nash. Only thing that saved the Nash match for me was first blood gimmick, which I thought was played out great at the end of the match, and Nash falling on his ass trying the powerbomb (comedy fucking gold). As for the Phi Delta Slam match. I really dig them. They're great for big guys, and could be TNA's Dudley Boys. I really dig Tilly. The reason the match was so horrible is because Disciples of Destruction are really fucking shitty. Jesus, they set up spots in slow motion like they're mentally challenged, and have absolutely no wrestling skill at all. Wow, they'll probably end up huge like Nash. I can see why Vince didn't want these guys.

And btw, for how big Trytan is... Doesn't his head look way too small. I mean, hilariously too fucking small. I had a good laugh over that.

Minus trash like DDP, Nash, Disciples of Destruction, X-Pac... The wrestling is a billion times better than WWE could ever hope to have. Styles, Daniels, Sabin etc are fucking awesome. I'm willing to sit through shit like DDP etc. They have to do it for ratings.

But anyway, suprised of all the TNA hate. There is a lot of great wrestling. Way more good than bad IMO.

Either AJ/Daniels match will trump ANYTHING that WWE does all year. That Includes Angle/HBK.

TNA is not perfect by any means but its a decent alternative to the WWE which is total shit 99.7% of the time.

you mean the tag match to 3 way clusterfuck followed by a 15 minute spotfest hanging on a wire?
how is that any better than a typical WWE gimmick match?

Because Styles and Daniels can actually wrestle? They're awesome. You should check out some more of their matches before you run your mouth.

WWE is fucking horrible. I have a hard time seeing how anyone could like it better than TNA. Well, unless you aren't in it for the wrestling. Then again WWE writing has been shit for years. If the male oriented soap drama shit is your thing... Have at it.

Oh, and not that WWE doesn't have a lot of great talent. They just ruin everyone they pick up. Especially everyone they grabbed from ECW. Seeing the Dudleys, RVD, and Spike in the WWE is hard. I usually just turn off the tv. The fact that the WWE has put a stop to any wrestling move created since the 80's isn't doing much for the excitment of their matches either.

oh, ok, that explained it, i get it now, so all their other matches are good, just that one sucked...

and what about all the other people in TNA? or do you just watch for those two guys wrestling over and over...

it's amazing that you don't seem to disagree with my assessment of the PPV, yet seem to dislike my opinion on TNA...

BLAH BLAH BLAH AJ AND DANIELS SUCKED SO EVERYTHING IN TNA SUX HUR HUR HUR

The haters get quite repetitive on TNA. AJ and Daniels had a GREAT match. The nature of the Ultimate X match demands a high spot match, much like a ladder or TLC match.

Now, the problem I will agree with anyone about is TNA's main event. It sucks. The mid-card/low-card is infinitely better booked and wrestled. Jarrett needs to drop the title to someone other than AJ. Raven, the Truth, anyone remotely interesting(note that DDP and Nash do not count as interesting).

But yes, much of the time the actual ringwork surpasses that of anything non-velocity/Angle involved that WWE puts on. I still say the Angle/Rey match is the best match of the year regardless of promotion, and I actually watch everything that WWE and TNA put on.

But I ramble! I am drunk, and yes TNA does kick ass, but not for the reason simple ol' Efralope thinks.

I thought the Ultimate X match was good. A.J. Styles and Daniels have put on a fuckton of good matches. Out of anyone in TNA, I don't see how it is these guys you're choosing to hate on. They're better than anything the WWE has going for it.

Oh, you agree with my assessment of the ppv in my reply to Minotauro? Then I guess I agree with yours then... Since they're the same and all. We have nothing to really argue about.

I can see how someone might prefer the WWE if you like lazy losers who mail in their performances every monday and thursday night and that not counting the 1/2 of the company who couldnt put on decent match if they gave 110%. Jericho/Edge from a week ago was one of the worst matches I've seen. It made Nash/Jarrett look like a masterpiece.

Because TNA lets their people go and these people(Styles and Daniels) happen to be as talented as anyone on the entire WWE roster. I'll take their spotfests over the WWE brawlfests anyday.

Definitely agree. Though I can't say I've ever been a fan of the "main event." Sick of watching no talents put absolutely no effort into throwing punches, kicks, and even more punches for 30 minutes until we see their finisher... All because they're good on the mic and roid like crazy. I don't think Jeff Jarret is the real problem. He obviously isn't going anywhere. They just need to drop hacks like DDP, and Nash. Bring in fresh talent. It's working for their low/mid-card booking. Right now TNA is trying to duplicate the WWE in this area. I don't think it's working for WWE, and definitely not TNA. Sad thing is DDP and Nash are probably bringing in better ratings, and we won't see a change anytime soon because of this.

well, i guess i'm a hater, since my only impression was a PPV event with 0 decent matches, and nobody seems to really be defending the actual content of PPV except for saying random shit like "DUURRRR ITS WAY BETTER THAN WWE!!!!!!!!111111111~"

I explained exactly what I liked about the ppv in my reply to Minotauro without resorting to, "DUUUURRRRR ITS WAY BETTER THAN WWE!!!!111111111"

Take Nash, DDP, and Disciples out of the ppv equation, and I thought it was a great show. The matches these guys were in were horrible. I really wish they would do away with them. Nothing more than a cheap way to get ratings. But eh, the WWE has been doing this for god knows how long. Don't hear you bitching about that. And the good workers in TNA are really fucking good, and make it possible to sit through some of the shit. TNA isn't perfect. Hopefully they fix some of their problems with the main event, and get rid of the Disciples quicker than Vince did.

But hey, at least I'll admit the bad along with the good. Yet you blindly ignore anything good. But what was my point? Oh yeah, DUUUURRRRR TNA IS WAY BETTER THAN WWE!!!!111111111

Jarrett is a prick and will continue to make TNA's main event suck HARD until they grow some balls and take the title off him. I mean, seriously.

When I want wrestling... I'll go to a live ROH show.

If I want some semblance of a storyline... yeah... sure... WWE somewhat.

But nowadays... it's hard to find good stuff 100% of the time. It really is picky-choosey.

Oh.. and the Angle/HBK feud is moving along nicely considering the little amount of time they had to pull it off. I'm confident it will be one helluva match. I'll miss Angle.

I agree with the first part but if I'm not mistaken TNA is owned and run by Jarrett and his dad so the chances are slim of this happening.

Is Angle leaving? For good? Damn shame if he is. The guy is head and shoulders over everyone in the company. Nobody can generate heat like this guy and nobody brings the intensity to everything he does. Could have been one of the best ever if not for the injuries.

I wish he would leave. I hate seeing his hands twitch or him trying to rub feeling into his arms every other match. I don't want to see any wrestler doing that, no matter how good they are.

He's going to die at Wrestlemania. He's going to go all the way, and he's going to kill himself. He needs to quit now.

What is Vince Russo's current status in the company? I might watch it if he's actually writing the shows currently.

He's done, he's going to ministry classes (seriously).

Didn't WWE offer AJ a contract, but he said no?

That was before TNA started and he was not very good at the time so he was offered a $500 per week development deal.
