It's fun to flip back and forth between the satellite and map images. I was messing around with the satellite, and saw something that looked like a crazy alien landing strip:

I couldn't figure out what it was until I flipped back to the map and saw that it's a cemetery:

is that Mt. Olivet in Queens, NY? my dad is buried there :/

on another note, the image maps look to be about a year old as far as i can tell. not too bad at all, and the quality of the map and the speed is above par.

I wonder how much google will charge eventually for something like 5 min updated sattelite map? (FREE! I WANT FREE!) How much would you guys pay for something like that?

this map service is very nice. i dont like the old maps though. Cause i cant see my new house which pisses me off.But i've got plenty of my old neighborhood and other areas.

I virtually drove to my gfs house and back and along the way i found a shortcut. one that actually saves me 30 minutes or so. Thanks google.
