It's funny. For the longest time, it was near impossible to find any Simpsons merchandise. But now there's about a million figures released and you can find almost anything "Simpsons". In fact, I'm eating a mint right now from a Ralph Wiggums tin.

I remember when they first tried merchandising when the cartoon started, but took it too far, treating the series like a Disney cartoon or something in terms of item volume and demographic, then people stopped caring until the action figures came out a few years ago
