So, the PC version of SH4 is $10 cheaper than the PS2 or Xbox versions. My PC should definitely be able to handle it (XP 2800+, 9800 Pro, 1GB RAM), although I haven't seen any requirements.

How did SH2 and 3 compare on the PC to the console versions? How does the grain filter look on a high res monitor?

And will Gamestop make me give back the soundtrack CD if I cancel my PS2 pre-order?

Silent Hill 2 = Get a console version.

Silent Hill 3 = PC Version

Silent Hill 4 = Not that good of a game, so it doesn't matter if you buy it or not.

Most people will have one or the other, so that's a tough call. I have Silent Hill 2 for PS2 and 3 for PC. gameplay wise they are very close. SH3 for PC looks great and is still creepy as hell, so I don't think much got lost in translation.
