How clean do you keep your systems?

Been watching some videos of people repairing systems and.... Good god! Do these people play their systems in the Florida Everglades!?!?!? It's mind blowing how downright FILTHY so many of these systems are, inside and out:

I will clean them on the outside every few weeks. Try to remove dust from the vents and the like.

Wait a sec he cleaned the PS5 even without removing the fan? That's incomplete cleaning!

Cleaned my PC a couple of weeks ago. First time in a year since I bought it. Hardly any dust innit, Fractal Design know their stuff.
A puff of compressed air and done.

Throw mine in washer and dryer once a week

I clean the entire room my computer's in with a swiffer, and that and the outside of the computer case with wipes, every day, and I vacuum it (the room, not the computer lol) every three days.

So far so good.

Just cleaned my ps5 a week ago but I have cleaned my systems like every 6 months to a year for the past 10 years . Like 10 years ago I moved in with my brother and his GF at the time was a slob and the people next door were disgusting also and there was a crap ton of roaches that eventually infested my ps4 , a year later he kicked her out and the people next door left . Knew that there was a shit ton living in my ps4 so I left lures to kill them all , after I stopped seeing them running around after a few weeks I decided to get a electrical tool set and to open and clean it out . My god was it disgusting , fan and heat sinks were clogged with shit and dead roaches I'm surprised it didn't blow up and was able to clean it out pretty good , almost ran and looked like new .

This, I'm not diligent at keeping mine clean but whenever I pull it out to clean around it its usually barely got any build up.

Clean house, no pets, non smokers. Systems are not near the floor. I barely need to clean my systems just use a swifter dust wand to dust it off occasionally.

I think most of the hardware shown are on the extreme end of filth as it often makes the most satisfying cleaning videos.

The Xbox one I bought off Facebook was downright filthy. Like they threw it it in the mud. I had to get a Q tip and hit every crevice I could see, I won't dare open it up.

My PS2 is fixable but I decided to put it at rest.

As is my PS4 Pro. I think I got quoted around $90 to fix it but I bought a PC shortly after and haven't looked back since.

I mean I needed headphones to enjoy any of my games because the fan noise became unbeareable after an hour. Cracking games though and had a blast with some of last gen's titles.

I just did my semi-annually (or whenever I notice dust) cleaning on my PC. My consoles never seem to get dirty. I usually clean them twice per generation, once after 3-4 years and then before selling/trading it in for the next gen.

The motherboard broke in half but miraculously still fixable thanks to the technician.

Wow I'd for sure would think that kind of damage would mean its toast.

My power supply connector came off and honestly wasn't even pulling on it. I held it with two fingers and found it just lifted off the board. Thought something was wrong when I noticed I'm holding a piece of plastic in one hand reaching for the duster 😂

Now I just use a gentle blower to clean my gaming PC. Too scared to open it up 😂
