When Blast City went down the shitter in 2000, I was IM'ing someone (I forget who they are and if they even post here anymore) for some good gaming forums. I got a link to here. I mostly just lurked. Then when it was blocked for all unregistered people, I stopped lurking. About two years later, I came back just to read up on any DS news and it was open to all. So I registered here early this year.

It's ashame that we couldn't get more of us the forum ended so abruptly and I still blame it on Aaron and Drensch back and forth.

I don't remember the details I remember we had a nutjob on the site called captialist consumer that was trying talking about suing the forum or something like that but, I don't know if Doug and Aaron actually got legal but, to date it was the nastiest online battle I had even seen.

Yeah, you were rather prominent on usenet. Marty too. That's another reason I stayed here, Marty was one of the few people I remembered from usenet that was on here.

I began posing on gamers.com, which somehow got me to the Gamespot forums. During the megat0n megaton, GAF was mentioned in one of the threads at the Gamespot forums and thats how I found myself here. After I found GAF, I stopped using any other forum because GAF is miles better then the rest.

I dunno my husband said this place was full of good traffic, news, and opinions but that the moderation was a little bit out of hand. . .so I came here out of morbid curiousity I guess?

I've now endured my own temp ban for responding to a mod's jibes. Yay.

Some guy in my grade 11 com tech class brought in some videogame mag, and we started talking about recent games. Around that time zelda oot was released and there was a review, where the reviewer (forget the mag) loved it. He made a few comments in disgust about how shitty it is. I mentioned something about hearing from basically every source that it was good (this was before it was released).

He told me about a forum where people played early versions (maybe japanese copies?), or something, and they all agreed it was shitty (the magazines were all being bribed) - so i signed up at this "gaming age" forum to find out more!

So, uhh... yeah. His name was blaze something or antoher, and he was apparently banned shortly after he introduced me to the board, several years ago.

Back then it was pretty much a sega-centric forum. To be honest, im not sure how i managed to get along here. I tried to pass myself off as some multi-platform gamer despite the fact that i was obviously a nintendo fanboy.

I used to post at penny arcade only a little when I started getting bored at work downtime, then I thought, but didn't really articulate until burger said to me "uh, that forum is full of fuckwits" then when I bought a gamecube in NZ, which launched years after everywhere else, I needed news and burger pointed me here. stopped posting at PA, which was shit anyway and posted here. then started reading OT when the gaming forum didnt update fast enough and there is only so much gaming news you can read before it starts eating itself.
