no im not pirating, i have the Madonna convert on DVD, and i'd like to rip the disk(i'm using DVD decrypt), but it's ripping files separately into Video_TS format, which my PS3 can play no problem but i'd like to know how do i join the files in the correct order since decrypt rips them randomly(mixes up the chapters). I also need a free program to join all Video_TS files into one, than way i could dump it on my PS3 Hard Dive.

i need free software, any recommendations? i'm not interested in mpeg2 and other oppressions cuz they make the video quality crap.

this is all legall since i own the original copy of the concert DVD, i just hate to keep inserting and ejecting specially when i play too many games on my PS3.

thanks!

Use DVD Decrypter in File mode and make it not split the files.

$50/hour, but no kissing on the lips and colors must be pre-separated
Well considering that DVDs are encoded into MPEG2, I'd say you're at least mildly interested in the format.

There's a setting in there somewhere to not split the files, at the moment it's probably set to about 700mb. To convert it into avi or something for the PS3 use a good free piece of softwhere is Super.

Try Handbrake, it rips dvds to mp4 which can be played on ps3.

That is what I've done and it works great. The newest version of handbrake even has a PS3 specific setting. Be sure to check to make sure you video source doesn't need to be de-interlaced, and you should be good to go. Handbrake is a great piece of software.

i converted to MPE2 and it looked lie shit in the highest quality, Video_TS gives me the exact DVD qualty, so i wanna keep them that way only joined as one file and in order of course.

Actually what happened was you "re-encoded" a DVD mpeg2 to a poorer quality mpeg2.

Saying you dislike mpeg2 makes no sense unless you hate DVD's as well.

Or Nero Recode. I convert all my files to h264 with it. Supereasy but it's not for free.

i tried with Nero but it's giving me a warning about copy write BS. So im using DVD Decrypt without limits/splits. hope this helps.

should i only copy the .VOB, .IFO files or everything on the DVD files? at the moment i'm ripping everything.

thanks, i have nero, i'll try it. does it rip copy-writed DVDs?

Install this and let it run in the background. It removes all the protection on the fly and Nero Recode will accept the disc.

possible, im not good at this conversion business, that's why i stick with .VOB since it's a replica of the DVD quality and sound.
